Track Time on Work Orders

Learn how to track time spent on work orders, including how to add details like description, timing, tags, and billable status.

Tracking Time on a Work Order

Steps:

  1. Open the work order you want to track time for.

  2. At the top of the work order, click the Time Tracking icon .

  3. A time tracking form will open where you can enter the details of your activity.


Completing the Time Tracking Form

Fill out the following fields:

  • Description:
    Provide a meaningful description of the activity performed.

  • From and To (Time):
    Enter the start and end times for the activity.

  • From and To (Date):
    Specify the dates during which the work was performed.

  • Work Order Tag:
    Select the appropriate tag for the activity. Tags are configured in Settings > Time Tracking Tags.
    Note: You cannot save time tracking without selecting a tag.

  • Billable:
    Indicate whether the activity was billable or non-billable.


Saving the Time Entry

Once all required fields are filled:

  • Click Update to save the time tracking entry.

  • The entry will now appear in the Time Tracking tab of the work order.
