Overview

Split Fields give you more control over layout and readability in your procedure templates. You can now place two fields side by side in a single row ideal for related inputs like “Start Date / End Date,” “Value / Unit,” or “Technician / Role.”

What’s New

  • A new Split Field layout option is available when designing procedure templates.

  • Each side of the split supports an independent:

    • Field Type (e.g. text, date, number, dropdown)

    • Field Label

❗ The only unsupported field types in split layouts are Image and Table.

How to Add a Split Field

  1. Navigate to the Procedures module.

  2. Open or create a Procedure Template.

  3. In the editor, select Add Split Field.

  4. Configure:

    • Left Field: Choose field type and label.

    • Right Field: Choose field type and label.

  5. Click Save to apply changes.

Use Cases

  • Compact Forms: Reduce vertical scroll by placing short fields side by side.

  • Grouped Inputs: Keep logically related data (e.g. Min/Max values, Name/Position) in the same row.

  • Improved Readability: Enhance layout clarity for field technicians and back-office users.
