Here are some quick talking points to choose from to help guide participants in their conversations with their parents/guardians about Marathon Kids.

  • This year, we are doing something fun at school. We are tracking our physical activity to see how many miles we can conquer this year. So little by little and with everyone's help, we are trying to reach our club goal of ___________ miles. So when we run laps or play games, we earn mileage. I am trying to get _______ miles all by myself.

    Coach updates us on how many miles we have run individually but also on our progress as a club, each grade level, and every class.

  • We are tracking how many laps we can do this year at the running club. So, every time I complete a lap, I scan my ID, which gives me credit. Today, I ran ______ laps.

    We are working all together to conquer _________ miles by __________ (date/month). Coach tells us we are a team. It's fun. I like it when ________________ the most.

  • Did you know our school has run __________ miles already? The coach is tracking our laps and some of our game time. All the kids are participating, and we are earning miles. It's fun. I have ____________ miles already. Let me show you my dashboard.
