ID Cards as Trophies

Our sticker-based reward system is a great way to acknowledge and reward kids for their accomplishments and hard work over the course of the season.

Offering these stickers is connected to two of Marathon Kids' pillars: celebrating and rewarding effort.

Coaches can create a fun, positive environment, and share achievements at every opportunity. Kids enjoy having their successes acknowledged, which in turn will help them to form healthy lifelong habits.

Regular positive reinforcement encourages them to keep striving to reach their goals!

Memento for the Season

Kids love to be recognized for the effort and dedication they put forth toward their goals.

A great way to showcase their accomplishments is to utilize the Milestone Stickers.

Once a milestone is hit, participants can be given the sticker and placed on their ID card as a trophy.

Students will be able to reflect on their progress and improvement throughout the season.

Where to access Milestone Stickers

Milestone Stickers can be found in our eStore.

Included in the sticker pack, are numerical milestone achievements as well as stickers to recognize growth, hard work, teamwork, and leadership.

Are you without a budget? You can use any kind of sticker.

We've had coaches get creative;

  • Hot Dot stickers - each color represents a different mileage milestone.

  • Turkey sticker for a run in November

  • Snowflake sticker for a run in January

  • Heart sticker for a run in February to celebrate Heart Health Month

Coach Tips

The frequency of handing out such stickers is at the discretion of the coach.

Participants are encouraged to place the stickers on their ID cards to keep at the end of the season, but can also place them on water bottles and binders to showcase.

If placing on ID cards, remember to take out the printed card first instead of placing the card on the plastic sleeve if applicable.

Where to find your participants' milestones

By running an Achievement Report, Coaches can clearly access which participants have reached distance milestones.

Coaches can hand out personal milestone stickers to participants that they see have earned recognition.
