How does the SquareUp Connector work?

With the Squareup Connector, partners selling on Square POS can auto-sync their products with the marketplace. Additionally, the partners can import their products from Square POS to the marketplace.

Accordingly, inventory will be managed at both ends once an order is created/updated for the partner’s products.

Let’s explore the connector in detail.

Features

* Partners can connect their Square POS to the marketplace.

* Auto-Sync Option: This automatically syncs all the newly added products of the partner’s SquareUp store.

* Option to re-sync the products from the product listing section.

* Allow partners to create price rules: Based on the product price rules created by the partner, the product price of SquareUp POS will be calculated in the marketplace.

* Marketplace partners can import their Square POS products to the marketplace.

* The partners can now have multiple variant options in a product synced from Squareup into the multi-vendor marketplace app.

SquareUp Configuration: Partner End

As soon as an admin enables the SquareUp feature, a new sub-menu gets added to the Configuration menu in the partner dashboard called SquareUp Configuration.

Visiting the SquareUp Configuration menu, first, the partner needs to install the Squareup App.

The partner needs to click the Download Shopify-SquareUp App. This will redirect the partner to the login page of the SquareUp.

Clicking that button, the partner will be asked to log in to their SquareUp store. If already logged in, the partner will be redirected to the SquareUp permission page. The partner needs to allow access to all the prompts.

After doing so they will be directed back to the partner panel and should configure the settings as to enable the auto-sync option, change the weight units, map collections, or other future options.

Auto-Sync New Products

The partners can enable this option to auto-sync the newly added products to the marketplace.

Additionally, the partner will click the import products button to import previously added SquareUp store products to the marketplace.

Map Collections

Before the product import, the partner needs to map the marketplace collections with the collections of his/her SquareUp store.

For this, the partner will visit the Map Collection section and then select the marketplace collection to map with his/her own Squareup store’s collection.

Create Price Rule

The partners can create price rules to manage the product price of the partner’s SquareUp POS in the marketplace.

partners will have a new menu named Connector Price Rule in the Configuration Menu of the partner panel. From here, the partner can create price rules based on which the partner’s product price will be calculated in the marketplace.

Clicking the Connector Price Rule, the partner needs to enable “Price Rule” status and select the options to increase/decrease the price. The price will be changed by a fixed amount or a percentage amount. Simply enter the amount that needs to be changed.

Enable the checkbox to update the already synced product’s price as per the price rule created.

Import Products

After all these settings, the partner will proceed to import products from his/her SquareUp store to the marketplace. Clicking the Import Product button, the partner will enter the comma-separated product IDs (that the partner wants to import).

Please note: You can only import “simple” and “variable“ products.
