Ask Marma what to look at in Etsy Stats

Get help choosing one thing to investigate in your shop.

Written by Richie Peplin

Looking at your Etsy Stats and wondering where to start? Give Marma a focused question about the numbers you see.

Open the right dates

  1. Open Etsy Shop Stats for the shop you want to review.

  2. Select your dates and let the page load.

  3. Open the Marma extension and turn on the sparkle/page-data control.

  4. Include your shop, dates and currency in your question.

For example:

For [shop], from [start date] to [end date], I had [visits], [orders] and [revenue in USD]. What is one thing I should look into next?

Check the answer against your screen

Marma can receive visits, orders, revenue and conversion rate, plus some listing figures. Check that its answer uses the dates and numbers you meant. Add any missing figures yourself, including the listing name when your question is about one item.

Follow one useful lead

If a listing has visits but few orders, look at its photos, price, details and delivery. If visits are low, check whether its phrases fit what shoppers are looking for.

These are places to investigate. The numbers alone don't explain why something happened.

If the page details don't appear, paste the figures into chat. The results guide can help you compare periods after a change.
