TRANSITIONING TO MARRO

How to make a smooth switch for a healthier, happier cat

Updated over a week ago

Switching food can be a big change for cats. They may need about 3 days to adjust to new tastes and textures - totally normal. With a bit of patience (and chicken), most cats settle in smoothly.

DAY 1: START SMALL WITH CHICKEN

  • Serve a spoonful of warmed Succulent Chicken on a clean plate.

  • Remove their old food and treats so they can focus.

  • Warming tip: pop the pouch in warm water for 10 minutes, or microwave for 10 seconds.

  • Let your cat sniff and explore - if they don’t eat, take it away after 20 minutes and serve their usual food instead.

Your first boxes will have extra chicken to make this step easier.

DAY 2: INCREASE AMOUNTS

  • If they ate some on day 1, slowly increase the portion size.

  • Stick with Succulent Chicken for now - it’s easy on the stomach.

  • If they didn’t try it yet, repeat day 1’s approach.

DAY 3: BUILD FAMILIARITY

  • Keep increasing the Marro portions while reducing old food.

  • Once they’re comfortable with chicken, start offering the other recipes in your box for variety.

TIPS & REASSURANCE

  • Every cat has their own rhythm - some take longer, and that’s okay.

  • Stick with it: Fresh food brings big benefits like shinier coats, better digestion (yes, less smelly poos), more energy, and healthier weight.

  • If your cat resists, don’t give up. Small changes lead to long-term health and happiness.
