Start by removing a pouch from the freezer the night before to defrost in the fridge. It will take 4-6 hours for it to fully thaw. The pouches can last up to 7 days in the fridge so we suggest taking out a weeks supply of pouches at a time to avoid death stares from your cat when you realised you forgot to defrost their food.
When it comes to serving Marro, simply snip across the top of the pouch using a pair of scissors and pop the contents into your cat's favourite bowl. We’d recommend one that’s wide and shallow to avoid causing any constant brushing against your cat’s whiskers.
You can serve your meals from the fridge, or gently heat them in a bowl of warm water, or a quick blast in the microwave (10 seconds usually does the trick).
Depending on your cats preference for meaty chunks, use a fork to mash the meals to your cat's favourite consistency, and mix in the gravy.
If you're feeding Marro for the first time, it's important to ease your cat into a new diet, so we’d recommend offering a small amount in a separate bowl alongside their current food to begin with (read more on transitioning here).
Now, humble servant, place the food in your cat's favourite dining spot (they tend to prefer eating in a place without loud noises or other distractions). If you’re lucky enough to have more than one cat, keep their meals separate to prevent any potential competition at feeding time.
