Why We Ask for Proof of Address

We ask for proof of address to verify your identity and ensure we have up-to-date contact information. This helps us evaluate risk when calculating premiums.

What documents can I use to prove my address?

You can upload a clear photo or PDF of one of the following documents. It must:

  • Be in your name (the main policyholder)

  • Show your current address

  • Be dated within the last 90 days

Accepted documents

  • Utility bill (gas, electric, water)

  • Council tax bill

  • Internet, landline, or mobile phone bill

  • Signed and dated tenancy agreement

  • Letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

  • Electoral Registration Letter

  • Letter from HMRC

  • TV licence

  • Bank statement (not from an online-only bank)

  • DVLA letter

  • Vehicle logbook (V5)

How do I send the document?

We’ll send you an email requesting your proof of address. You can upload your document directly from that message or within your app in the Policy Documents section. Make sure the image or PDF is clear and shows all corners.
