Living in a hotel
You can use a hotel as your address in these situations:
New to the UK: If you’ve just moved to the UK, we accept a hotel as a temporary address. You’ll need to provide:
An invoice, receipt, or booking confirmation.
In a transition period: If you’re temporarily staying in a hotel while waiting to move into a new home, that’s fine. We’ll need:
Proof of your upcoming (forward-dated) permanent address.
For work purposes: If you live in a hotel due to your job (e.g. live-in staff), we’ll need:
Proof of your occupation.
Living in a caravan
We accept a caravan as your address only if:
It is your permanent residence.
It is a static caravan (not movable).
We can verify your occupation.
Standard address checks will also apply.
Living on a houseboat
We’re unable to accept a houseboat as a valid address under any circumstances.
