What phones and settings work with Marshmallow Move?

This article is for customers who want to check if their phone is compatible and how to update their settings.

Before buying a Marshmallow Move policy, check that your phone is compatible with our app and Tag. Not all phones are supported.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bluetooth enabled

  • Internet access (for syncing trips)

  • Location permissions set to "Always"

  • Motion/Fitness permissions enabled

  • Phone not in Power Saving Mode while driving

Data and battery usage:

  • App uses approx. 400-500 KB per hour of driving

  • Uses minimal battery when not driving

  • During drives, it uses a few percent of battery per hour

Changing your phone? You can reconnect the Tag by logging in to the app on your new phone. The app will guide you through pairing and permissions.
