How do I make a windscreen or glass damage claim?

What to do if your windscreen or car window is damaged

If you have the Marshmallow Original or Plus plan, you’re covered for up to 2 windscreen or glass claims per year. Making a claim is simple and won’t affect your renewal price or No Claims Discount (NCD).


How to make a windscreen or glass claim

You can start your claim using the Marshmallow app:

  1. Open the app and go to the home screen.

  2. Tap ‘Report Incident’.

  3. Select ‘My windscreen is damaged’.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions—we’ll take it from there.

What you’ll need to know

  • You’ll be asked who underwrites your policy—this can be found in the Summary of Cover in your Marshmallow account.

  • You can also check your Motor Insurance Schedule to find out your windscreen excess.

What isn’t covered

Windscreen and glass cover does not include:

  • Sunroofs or glass roofs

  • Panoramic windscreens

  • Vehicle lights or reflectors

  • Folding rear windscreen assemblies
