My MOT expired

If your car tax or MOT expired, your insurance will no longer be valid. To ensure your insurance remains valid, always keep your MOT and tax up to date.

To be able to drive your car, keep your MOT valid by following these steps:

  1. Check MOT status: You can check your vehicle's MOT status here. Have your vehicle make and registration ready.

  2. Sign up for reminders: Receive free text or email reminders for when your MOT is due.

  3. Check tax status: Verify if your vehicle is currently taxed here.

You are not eligible for a courtesy car if your car fails the MOT.
