Do Marshmallow policies include temporary cover?
We don’t currently offer temporary or short-term insurance. All of our car insurance policies run on a 12-month contract.
What if I only need insurance for a short time?
If you only need cover for a short period, you have two options:
Take out a Marshmallow policy and cancel it when it no longer suits you.
If you cancel within the first 14 days of your policy starting (or before it begins), we charge a £30 administration fee.
If you cancel after the first 14 days, there will be a cancellation fee of up to £125, depending on when you purchased a policy and what policy plan you are on.
Look into other providers that offer temporary cover.
Some customers have found short-term policies with other insurers.
