If you already have a policy with us and need to add your new UK licence, please speak to our customer support team member as you can't make this change within the app.
Please don't send photos of your licence until you have spoken to a member of the team.
Adding the licence
Once you have got in touch with a member of the team, they will need to verify your new UK Licence.
We will ask you to complete an ID Check with our partners Onfido. Instructions on how to do this will be given by the member of team but it is really important you upload clear photos of the front and back of your licence.
Once the ID Check has been successfully completed we will then make the change to your policy.
UK Licence ID Check failed
If the UK Licence ID Check has failed, do not worry, we can create a new check for you to successfully complete so we can make the change to your policy.
Reasons why it might have failed:
Uploaded a scanned image
The image quality was poor
Admin fee and premium changes
If you have a Marshmallow Lightest or Essential policy, you may be charged a £25 admin fee to make a change to your policy.
Any changes made to your policy will mean your premium will be re-calculated to take these changes into account. This can make the price of your policy go up or down.
My additional driver has a UK licence
If your additional driver now has a full UK licence, you don't need to get in touch with us as we don't need to update this on your policy documents.
If your additional driver now has a provisional UK licence, please get in touch with our customer support team to update this on your policy.
