If your claim is settled as fault then your No Claims Discount will sadly be reduced. Don't worry though, you won't lose all the years you have built up! For your first fault claim, you will lose only 2 years of NCD (unless you have more than 5 years NCD then it will fall to 3 years after your first claim).

If your claim is settled as non-fault, your NCD won't be affected 😊

What happens if I have NCD protection?
If you have purchased NCD protection, you can make up to two fault claims before your No Claims Discount is reduced.

If you have NCD protection and have a claim that is open/fault, you won't lose your NCD, you just won't earn an extra year of no claims.
