A Vehicle Logbook, also known as a V5, is a legal document issued by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency). This document serves as proof of vehicle ownership and contains specific details about the vehicle. The V5 is also crucial for tracking the registered keeper when a vehicle is sold and transferred to a new owner.
Transferring Ownership
When selling or buying a vehicle, both the seller and the buyer must fill out certain sections of the V5. This process ensures that the DVLA is informed of the change in ownership, allowing the new owner to request an updated logbook.
Uploading Your V5
If you have been asked to upload your V5 document, please ensure you provide photos of all pages of your logbook. It is essential that our underwriters see the information on every page. We cannot accept just the new keeper's slip; we need to see the front, inside, and back pages.
