How do I create a tournament on the Matcherino platform?

In order to set up a tournament in the Brawl Stars ecosystem, one must first apply and be part of the program. Once accepted, an organizer must navigate to “matcherino.com/supercell” and click “create event” on the left.

Organizers will have various options to choose from including creating a tournament, creating a series, creating an item and creating a team. Click “create tournament” to start a fresh tournament that can be customized via the admin.

How do I name my tournament?

You can name your tournament via the “General” tab in the admin settings. Additionally, you can change the start time, add images and change other aspects related to the tournament like if you want to allow free agents or not.

Please note:

1) Events cannot be named using vulgar language.

2) Partner platform display names should not contain vulgar language. If this is part of your personal brand, you must update your name on the platform to fit these guidelines. You can change your platform display name in your Profile -> Settings screen.

What is a free agent?

A free agent is a participant who signs up without a team. This allows competitors to sign up in the hopes of being brought into a team with room. Additionally, Matcherino has a feature that automatically merges incomplete teams with other incomplete teams and free agents. Be aware, though, that using this feature might result in teams being unhappy with their new found friends.

How do I “publish” a tournament and what does it mean?

Publishing a tournament can be done within the “Actions” tab of the admin settings. Publishing means that a tournament will become visible on the events page of the Supercell program.

Additionally, the actions tab allows you to refund contributors, and to pay out players that have been sorted in the “payouts tabs” at the conclusion of the tournament.

I would like to add stretch goals for my crowdfunding initiative. How do I do this?

A tournament organizer can add stretch goals in the crowdfunding section of the admin settings.

How do I set up a bracket?

You can set up a bracket in the “Bracket” tab in the admin settings of your tournament. Bracket formats include single elimination, double elimination and swiss. Brackets can be set to Best of X or First to X. Additionally, our bracketing has unique features to Brawl Stars that allow for enabling or disabling maps and game modes.

What formats and bracket types does Matcherino offer?

Single elimination, double elimination and swiss. Additionally, organizers can change settings based on “sets” so that one “set” in a tournament is played on specifically chosen game modes or maps which are randomized out of the selected pool.
