This archive consolidates every Maxanet system update and release note published during 2022, sorted in reverse chronological order (newest release first). Each section below lists the date the update went live and the full release notes from that date. Use this archive as a historical reference for features, bug fixes, and platform changes that were made to Maxanet throughout 2022.

November 29, 2022 — System Update
Maxanet system update includes the following:
New Wordpress Plugin. The newest version of the WP plugin will display a countdown timer for each auction, multiple highlight photos, as well as some styling updates. The plugin also has separate shortcodes for Search, Category dropdown, and Auction Type dropdowns. This will alllow you to position the elements on the page as you see fit. We will need to update client websites manually, 1 at a time. Please contact us at Support@Maxanet.com.
Admin: Auction: Add/Edit Auction: New Staggered Ending Option in Seconds
Check the 'Custom Staggered Ending' option and you can now enter the time in Seconds. In the example above, it is set to 20 seconds which means that every 20 seconds an item will end. In other words, at 8:00:00 the first item ends, at 8:00:20 the second item ends, at 8:00:40 the 3rd item ends, and at 8:01:00 the 4th item ends, etc.
Admin: Auction: Invoices: Offline Items. A new button has been added to the Invoices tab allowing the admin to create new inventory items after the auction is ended. You can then add these items to invoices through the Invoice: Action menu: Edit option. We will be streamlining this process in future updates.
Text Message Outbid Notifications: New Bidder Registration Opt-In option. We are getting closer to releasing the optional Text Message outbid notification feature for all clients. If enabled on your account, we now have an option for the new bidder registration form where potential bidders can opt-in or opt-out of these text messages during the registration process.
Admin: Auction: Add/Edit Auction: Minimum Starting Bid. You can now add an auction level minimum starting bid right from the Add/Edit auction page. This will also be added to the Mobile App in the near future.
Admin: Auction: Items: MS Excel Inventory: Allow hyperlinks in description & custom column headers. You can now add HTML hyperlinks into your custom column headers in Excel. An example: <a href="https://www.maxanet.com">Maxanet Website</a>
Admin: Auction: Items: List of No-Bid Items. On the Items tab, click on the grey Filter button - there is now a new option at the bottom to select items with or without bids. Click Apply to filter the Items to only show items that did not receive a bid.
Admin: Auction: Menu order updated. The black colored 'Menu' button on the Auction Dashboard has been updated with a new order of the dropdown menu.
Admin: Configurations: Public Page Config: Show Items Toggle for Open Items or All Items. Several months ago we released an update that set the default of the Filter on the public auction pages to display the 'Open Items' and hide the ended items. Some clients did not like this feature so we reverted it back. Now we've added it as a client level toggle switch called 'Show Items' in the public page configuration so you can turn it on or off. If set to 'Open Items', when a bidder enters the auction after it's started to close, they will not see items that have already ended.
Public: Auction Pages: Item in Extended Bidding: Update to Countdown Timer. The background color and styling of the red colored 'extended' box has been updated.
Admin: Auction Terms Changed - Bidders must re-accept the Terms. If the Admin updates the Terms of the auction, all bidders will be forced to agree to these updated terms before placing another bid.
Admin: Auctions: Live Assistant - outbid emails fixed. An update was made to fix an issue where if the admin used the Live Assistant to place a bid, the outbid notification email was not being generated to a bidder who may have been outbid.
Go To Admin: Permissions: Create Category Permission bug fix. There was a bug where the permission for a company User to create a category from the Inventory section was not working correctly.
November 15, 2022 — System Update
A system update was released overnight to address the following issues:
We have updated the public page countdown timers to help resolve some reported issues where bidders would think they were winning an item but then the item would 'end' and they were outbid.
The solution we deployed overnight changes the countdown timer font weight to bold when there are 60 seconds remaining on the timer. This update is then pushed out to all users/bidders viewing the public pages and forces their web browser to fetch the most up to date information from our servers which includes the current bid & next bid amounts.
We've also updated the 'auto-extend' box to have a red background color as seen in the screenshot below which will help in the same scenario when an item is in extended bidding.
Reserve Prices - we had 2 recent system updates regarding reserve prices and unfortunately those updates caused an issue where the Reserve Price was not working as expected in a certain scenario. For example, if the admin set a reserve price of $100 on an item, and the bidding met $100 exactly, that item was not being invoiced. This issue has now been fixed with this overnight update.
Future updates / news. We are planning to add new Image Editing tools to the mobile App in the next system update in December. This will add tools for rotation, cropping, contrast, brightness, and more.
October 31, 2022 — System Update
Admin:Auctions:Items:Bids - Max Bid Deletion. When an Admin deletes a max bid, if there are any associated system bids, they will all be displayed in a pop-up window. The admin can then select which specific bids they want to delete.
Admin:Auctions:Items:Bids - Bulk Delete Bids. On the Bids page of an item, the Admin can now select individual, multiple, or all bids, and use the orange colored Group Actions button to Delete the selected bids.
Admin:Users:User Profile:Activity - Bulk Delete Winning Bids. In the User Profile, the Admin will now have the ability to click on the Action Menu and click the 'Delete Winning Bids' option for each auction. This will remove any max-bids and current winning bids for that bidder across the entire auction.
Admin:Configurations:Global Fees - New Sliding Scale Buyers Premium. Just as there is a sliding scale for seller settlements, there is now a sliding buyers premium option.
Admin:Configurations:Public Page Configuration - Allow Max Bids on Reserve Price Items. A new toggle switch has been added that allows the Admin to turn ON the ability for bidders to enter an optional max bids on reserve price items where the reserve has yet to be met.
Public:Auction:Reserve Price Items - an issue was fixed where previously if the admin added a reserve price to an item AFTER bids had already been received, that reserve price was not respected. We put in new system rules that the reserve price is always to be respected no matter when the admin adds it.
Admin:Users:User Profile:Payment Methods - added ability for Admin to Add a new Credit Card on file (MaxanetPay users). The Admin can now enter a credit card into a bidders profile manually through the admin panel.
Admin:Auction:Invoices:Custom Fees - Taxable option. We've added the ability for the admin to add an optional Sales Tax % to a custom fee that's being applied to an invoice (a shipping fee for example).
Admin:Auction:Settlements: Email Settlements - Multiple Email addresses (carbon copy). Multiple emails can be added by comma separated like this:

Admin:Auction:Items:Add/Edit Items - Custom Fields now has a checkbox for Save & Duplicate. A checkbox has been added to the 'custom fields' at the bottom of the form which will allow the admin to duplicate those fields into the next item they add.
Admin:Auction:Menu:Tax Summary Report - new summary breakdown data will be added to the bottom of the downloaded Excel file.
Admin:Auction:Invoices - Customer Initiated Payment (CIP) now prints onto the invoice. The letters "(CIP)" will be appended to the Payment details at the bottom of the invoice when the bidder makes their own payment through their bidder profile.
Admin:Auction:Items:Add/Edit Items: Description WSYWIG Editor Single Line separation can now be performed by Shift+Enter on your keyboard.
Admin:Auctions:Items - custom <br> HTML for line breaks. The <br> tag will now be respected for new line breaks for your inventory descriptions.
Public Auction Pages: Inventory: The optional 'ITEM NAME' field has been adjusted to match the exact same font size & weight as the 'Item#'.
Some other small changes and behind the scenes server performance tweaks were also made in this system update.
October 3, 2022 — System Update
This system updates includes the following:
Public: Bidder logged in/out - when a bidder's session expires, they will now be redirected out of the auction and back to the Auction Details page. This should help with some reports of bidders thinking they were still logged in and missing out on items.
Admin: Auction: Items Tab - New Shipped / Picked Up Status. When the auction is over, and an invoice is marked as paid in full, the Items tab will now show a new status of 'Fully Paid'. Once fully paid, the admin can use the Action Menu or the Group Actions on the Items tab to mark an item, or items in bulk, as either Shipped or Picked Up.
The Picked Up option will provide fields for Date, Employee Name, and Notes.
The Shipped option will provide fields for Date, Tracking#, Courier Service, and Notes.
Tip: On the Items tab, use the grey Filter button to filter by Bidder#. You can then select all of the items in bulk, and use the orange Group Action: Picked up or Shipped option. This will give the admin flexibility in case there are multiple tracking#'s in an invoice, or if some items are picked up and other items are shipped in the same invoice.
To delete/remove a shipped/picked up status: in the Items tab, use the Actions menu to 'Delete pickup info' on individual items. Tracking/picked up information can be tracked by using the 'Menu: Download Items Report' to excel.
Note: We will be adding additional features and functionality to the Ended Auctions 'flow' over the coming months. We are planning on adding an option to automatically add the tracking# to the invoice, or automatically email the bidder the tracking# once it's added.
Admin: Auction: Dashboard: Bids Tab - removed system bid IP Addresses. Any system bid (bid placed by the server when a max-bid is in place) will now have the IP address removed as this was causing some confusion.
Admin: Configurations: Email Templates - Revamped Admin email functionality. The following list of Email Templates have been updated to now include the list of email addresses of the Admins that the email will be sent to.

You can add/remove email addresses instead of all Admins automatically receiving these emails. Email addresses should be 'comma separated' with no spaces such as:

Admin: Configurations: Public Page Config: Toggle switch to show/hide the new 'Locations' field to the public and on the invoices. A new toggle switch has been added to the Public Page Configurations called, "Display Location". If set to ON, the new Location field for the Pull Report will display to the public at the end of the item description and it will be printed on the invoices for each item. If set to OFF, the pull report Location field will only display on the Pull Report itself.
Admin: Auction: Invoices - new Cash Buyer label ($). In the Admin: User: User Profile, there is a new toggle switch called 'Cash Buyer'. If set to YES, on the Admin: Auction: Invoices tab, in the Bidder Details column, there will be a green colored dollar symbol ($) that alerts you as the admin that this bidder is a cash buyer.
Admin: Auction: Images Tab - delete multiple images at once. New functionality has been added where you can click/select images by clicking in the upper left section of the thumbnail image and then use the green colored 'delete' button to delete those selected images.
September 6, 2022 — System Update
We've updated the Mobile App for Android & Apple versions:
Large Image Option: There is a new Toggle switch located in the menu (upper right corner) called 'S3 Upload' which can be turned ON or OFF. If set to ON, the App will take and upload the FULL SIZE and RESOLUTION of the images directly to the Amazon image hosting server. If the S3 Upload is set to OFF, the system will reduce the size and dimensions of the photos.
Primary Images: You can now drag and drop the items images to change the primary photo or change the order of the photos as they are seen by the bidders.
This system updates includes the following:
Public: Bidder Profile: New 'Communications' Tab - a new section has been added to the bidders profile with checkboxes for turning ON/OFF outbid notification emails and subscribe to email alerts. Bidders can now completely disable outbid notification emails. Bidders can also opt-out of any marketing emails.
Public: Watch List on mobile devices - an issue was fixed where the Lot Status filter was not clickable on some devices.
Public: Bidder Profile Update: New Email to Admin - if a bidder makes a change to their bidder profile, the admin will receive an Email that lists out what was changed. This info is also saved in the Admin:Users:Bidder Profile:Notes.
Public: Bidder Profile: Payment Methods - if a bidder removes a credit card on file, the system will force them to add a new credit card before doing so.
Public: Auction: Inventory: Navigation - an issue was fixed in which a non-logged in user would sometimes click to bid on an item, be prompted to log-in, and once logged in, was redirected elsewhere. The bidder will now stay on the same page they were on.
Public: New Bidder Registration Form - a small tweak to the shipping/billing address form field layouts for easier user input.
Admin: Auction: Images: Delete All - a new option has been added to the Images tab that allows the Admin to bulk delete all images for all items in the auction.
Admin:Auctions:Draft Auctions: Delete Auction - a new option has been added to the Actions menu that allows the Admin to delete/remove an auction that's in the Draft status.
Admin: GoToAdmin: Permissions: Download Items Report - a new permission has been added for the ability to download the auction Items Report.
Admin: GoToAdmin: Permissions: Bidder & Consignor permissions - all fields are now checked by default for both bidder & consignor roles.
Admin: Auction: Items: Add/Edit Items: Save & Duplicate - a bug was fixed where if you click on the Item Name to edit an item, the Auction Name was not carrying over if you were to use the Save & Duplicate feature.
Admin: Auctions: Items: Edit Item: Categories - a bug was fixed where categories that were removed from the item were added back if you used the 'previous' or 'next' item buttons.
Admin: Auction: Settlements: Bulk Email - a bug was fixed where if the Admin uses the Group Actions to bulk email multiple Settlement reports.
August 8, 2022 — System Update
Along with our schedule updates which are listed below, we have 2 new optional BETA features in this update that we are testing out.
Text Message Outbid Notifications - BETA feature. Select clients can sign up for text messaging outbid notifications for your bidders. Please email us at Support@Maxanet.com for more information about this feature. Once this feature is ready for all clients we will make an announcement.
Admin: Auction: Download Sales Tax Report - BETA feature. We have a new auction level Sales Tax report that is included in this update. We will be making updates to this feature and are planning on adding a global level Tax Summary Report that can encompass an entire month or selected auctions.
This system updates includes the following:
Public: Auction: Bidding Process - warning message to current high bidders. If a bidder has the current high bid and they attempt to place another bid, we are now displaying a required checkbox alerting them that they are the highest bidder. Bidders can check the box and proceed to place the bid. We've also removed the 'auto-fill' of the minimum next required bid if the bidder is already the current high bidder. This should help resolve any issues of bidders accidentally bidding against themselves when they are attempting to raise their max bid.
Public: Auction: Maximum Bidding Display Format: Reserve Price Items - The standard bid box will now be shown until the reserve price is met. The standard bid box will allow for the minimum next required bid or for a hard bid of any amount.
Admin: Auctions - New option for post-sale price sorting. In the Add/Edit auction page, there is a new optional checkbox called, 'Post-Sale Price Sort'. You can also turn this on from the Admin:Auctions:Actions menu drop down. If enabled, the public inventory page will resort the ended items based on price in descending order.
Admin: Auction: Download Items Report - New End Time. A new column has been added to the download items report Excel file for 'END TIME'. When the auction is completed, you can use this report to tell you the exact time an item officially ended. The time printed will include any auto-extended bidding that occurred.
Admin: Auction: Dashboard: Bids Tab - added bidder IP addresses. The bids tab has been updated to now include the IP Address of the bidder who placed each bid in the auction. You can use the grey colored Filter button to narrow the results down to a specific bidder.
Admin:Auction:Invoices - new Pull Report. An optional field has been added to the Auction:Items:Add/Edit Item page called, 'Location (Pull Report)'. Any information entered into this field will NOT be visible to the public. In the Actions menu of the Auction:Invoices page there is a new menu option called 'Download Invoice Pull Report'. This will generate a PDF document for download/print which will display the Item#, QTY, Item Name, Description, and the Location field.
Note - Future updates planned: We will be adding a toggle switch in a future update to give the Admin the ability to show this Location field to the public in both the auction pages and the invoices. We'll also be adding the optional 'Location' to the Mobile App and the inventory Excel file.
Admin: Configurations: Email Template: New Email Template for MaxanetPay clients. When a bidder makes their own payment through their bidder profile, a new Email Template will be triggered that gets sent to the Admin alerting them of this bidder initiated payment.
July 11, 2022 — System Update
This system updates includes the following:
We have an Important Update to the auction creation process -
Admin:Auction:Dashboard:Gallery Tab. We have repurposed the 'Gallery' tab in the Auction Dashboard. This new Gallery tab is where your Auction Highlight Images will now be uploaded.
As you can see in the screenshot above, you can now load unlimited Auction Highlight images into the new Auction: Gallery Tab. To arrange the order of the images simply 'drag and drop' the images into the desired position with the primary image being the first image on the left of the first row.
On the public Auction Details page that the bidders will see (click on the Title of the Auction) there will now be a new tab called, "Gallery" which display all of the Auction Highlight Images in a grid view format on this new Auction Details Gallery Tab.
Admin:Auction:Dashboard:Images Tab. Since the Gallery Tab has been repurposed, we have added a new 'Images' tab to the Auction Dashboard that will now be where you can upload and manage your inventory images.

On the public auction pages, if you click into an item, you now have a new 'Images' tab that is displayed to the bidders as seen below. Bidders can now view all of the Item images in a grid view format on this new Item Level Images Tab.
Admin:Auction:Invoices:Detailed Invoice - On the Detailed Invoices, we previously were displaying a breakdown of the Item Fees underneath each item. Unfortunately on invoices with more than 1 item, there were rounding issues were the total of these fees were not matching the total in the line item (bottom right) of the invoice. The only way around this was to remove the Fee breakdown under each item on the Detailed Invoice. We are now only displaying the FEE NAME.
We suggest your FEE NAME is very descriptive such as:
10% Buyers Premium (Taxable)
or
7.25% Sales Tax
This way your bidders who view the Detailed Invoice will now what % the Fee amount is.
Admin:Auction:Items:Custom Fields - we've fixed an issue where an extra 'space' was displayed after the colon ( : ) on the public auction pages.
Admin:GoToAdmin:Permissions - we updated 14 areas within the permissions pertaining to the Admin disabling the 'Edit Item' option for a User.
Admin:Configurations:Invoice Configuration: New 'ITEM NAME ONLY' - We have added a new toggle switch in the Invoice Configuration page called, 'Show Item Description'. If this is checked, the item description will be visible on the Summary Invoices. If this is unchecked, only the ITEM NAME will be visible on the Summary Invoices. This can greatly reduce the size/length of the invoices.
Admin:Users:User Profile:Credit Card Required - For MaxanetPay clients, we've changed the language of the credit card required toggle switch to be YES or NO instead of ON or OFF.
Mobile App: Landscape Mode - we've fixed an issue with using the Mobile App in Landscape mode. This new mobile app update will go live on or around July 13th.
Mobile App: Save & Duplicate - we've fixed a bug where some fields such as Consignor or Category were not carrying over with the 'save & duplicate' feature in the mobile app. This new mobile app update will go live on or around July 13th.
Mobile App: We've made some other smaller tweaks to the app for better usability. This new mobile app update will go live on or around July 13th.
June 23, 2022 — System Update
This system updates includes the following:
Admin:Auction:Invoices:Payment Successful Email Template - an issue was fixed where the BCC (blind carbon copy) was not sending the email to the admin.
Admin:Auction:Invoices:Email Invoices - when the Admin uses the Group Actions: Email Invoices option, the system now displays the Email Template called 'Bidder Invoice: Invoice Attached' by default.
June 13, 2022 — System Update
This system updates includes the following:
Public:Auction:Calendar Page:Advanced Search - we've added a new 'advanced search' hyperlink beneath the Search box on the Calendar page. For clients using Wordpress, we also have a new update to the Maxanet Wordpress Plugin that includes a shortcode that can be added to your main website that will display the search box.
Public:Auction:Auction Pages:Current/Max Bid Totals - when a bidder is logged in and viewing the auction they will now see their current totals and maxbid totals at the top of every auction page.
Public:Auction:Auction Pages:Filters - when a bidder has a Filter(s) applied to the inventory view, the filter will now stay in place until the User clicks the red colored 'clear filters' link/button.
Public:Auction:Auction Pages:Icons - the icons at the top of the page (Catalog, Directions, Highlights, Notes, Terms) and the words beneath them are now hyperlinked.

Admin:GoToAdmin:Roles & Permissions - new Roles & Permissions have been added to the system as detailed below. The main updates are the ability for the admin to hide the ability of a certain company user from seeing current or max bid totals and disabling the viewing of a bidder profile. Full list of updates:

On the public page, the above screenshot shows the location on the page where this updates the language. This can be very helpful for clients who want to display a custom view for the public & their bidders to quickly filter the auctions by these types.
Admin:Users:New Status Buttons/labels - if you view your Admin:Users page you'll notice new labels showing under the Status column which can help you quickly identify the status of a bidder without having to go into their Bidder Profile page.

Admin:Auction:Items:Add/Edit Item:Duplicate Photos - we've added a checkbox next to the word 'Photos'. When this is checked (and turns green) and you click on the blue colored 'Save & Duplicate' button, the photos will copy over to the newly created inventory item. We will be adding new bulk photo duplication options in a future update.
Some other smaller updates include:
Bidder passwords - there was an issue with the forward slash ( \ ) not being an accepted character which has now been fixed.
Admin:Users:Settlements - a display issue has been fixed where FEES were shown as duplicated to the admin (but not actually duplicated on the Settlement itself)
Admin:Auction:Items:Inventory - a fix was introduced for empty inventory templates creation when inventory was imported via MS Excel.
Admin:Users:Inactive Users - there was an issue where previously when a bidder was marked as Inactive, their bid history was hidden to the admin in the system.
May 16, 2022 — System Update
This update includes the following:
Spanish Translation for public pages: in the Admin:Configurations:Public Page Config is a new Toggle switch called, "Enable MultiLanguage". If enabled you can then choose the default language of your site to be either English or Spanish. On the public Maxanet generated auction pages there will be a hyperlink in the footer of each page that will allow the bidders to choose English or Spanish.
Partner Accounts Updates: Maxanet offers clients the ability to add Partner accounts through the Master>Partner account relationship. Partner accounts have their own unique admin panel and can list auctions on the Master accounts calendar (or have their own unique website/calendar). Registered bidders can bid on both Master and Partner auctions.
Major updates to the Partner accounts were released in this system update to more closely align with the Legacy version's functionality. Contact us with any questions or more information.Admin:Users - the ability to disable bidding privileges has been added to the 3-dot action menu in the far right column of this page.
Admin:Users:Failed Registrations - new error logging has been added to this page. When a bidder attempts to register, the first step is to enter their name, phone, and email address. The system then sends an automated email to verify the users email address. If the user does NOT click on that email, it will be indicated here on the Admin:Users:Failed Registration page which will help you identify a possible issue with the prospective bidder not receiving that email verification.
Admin:Auctions:Items:Add/Edit Items - some inventory photo overlapping issues in the Admin panel have been fixed
Admin:Auction:Invoicing / Merchant Track - the MaxanetPay invoice numbers have been updated to include the date stamp of the transaction
Admin:Configuration:Public Page Configuration - under the 'Buttons' section there is a new label that allows the admin to change the 'ended just now' label that's shown to the public after the countdown timer hits 0:00
Public Pages:Bidder login/session update - there was a potential issue where some bidders may have been logged out due to inactivity but they didn't know it, and the system still showed them as logged in. This could cause issues with the bidder not receiving real time updates to the countdown timers and bid prices.
April 12, 2022 — System Update
We have released a system update/patch to fix the following:
Admin:Auction:Gallery Tab. The new Gallery tab and the fast picture uploading process has been updated to be faster and more user friendly.
We suggest clients give this new Gallery a try for uploading inventory image photos. Outside of using the Bulk uploader or the mobile App, this is now a very fast and efficient way to quickly load photos.
Updates include:
All items are now expanded; as soon as you enter the Gallery tab, you can immediately start dragging and dropping photos into their respective item rows.
You can now 'drag and drop' the images in the Gallery to reshuffle their display order to the public. Simply click and hold down on a picture and drag it to the far left and release it to make it the primary photo. You can move the other pictures into the 2nd position for example to make it the 2nd visible picture on the public page.
We've removed unnecessary confirmation pop-up windows to make the process even faster.
You can now edit the ITEM NAME directly from this page. Simply click on an existing ITEM NAME and make your edits and then click anywhere else on the page to save that update.
You can now click on the thumbnail photos to go to a fullsize lightbox view of that photo.
We are planning on future photo tool upgrades to this Gallery Tab such as cropping, rotation, and the ability to move images from one item to another.
April 1, 2022 — System Update
For MaxanetPay clients:
We've released an update that allows the Admin to change their AVS settings (Address Verification Settings) for their new bidder registrations.
The default setting has always been for the system to check both the address and zip code during the registration process. This strict setting can sometimes cause issues with bidders when they try to register. Most of the time the issue has to do with the bidder misspelling their address...123 St vs 123 Street for example.
We now have the following AVS options for you to choose from in your Admin:GoToAdmin:Preferences page of your Next admin panel:
Strict: Address + ZIP match (default)
Soft: ZIP match
No AVS Options
We recommend keeping the 'Strict' level of AVS for your new bidder registrations but some clients may want to move to 'Soft' to make it easier for their bidders to register.
If you go with the 3rd option, No AVS Options, this will disable AVS altogether and the bidders will only be subjected to the 'Card Verify' process during the new bidder registration process. Going this route may open you up to more declined invoice transactions or possibly having a higher possibility of losing a credit card chargeback/dispute due to the lack of an AVS check.
Note: You can switch between AVS settings at any time if needed. For example: a bidder calls you with registration issues - you can turn down AVS to 'Soft' and ask them to try again, and if successful, you can then change your AVS back to 'Strict'.
March 30, 2022 — System Update
A larger system update including the following:
Public Pages: New 'Calendar & Auction level' Announcement feature. Just like the Auction Inventory announcement, this new Announcement section/content is displayed directly below the header (logo area) on ALL public pages. To add this Announcement, in your admin panel go to Configurations:Public Page Config and then look for the 'Header Content' section. You can center align the content and create a simple Navigation menu or put important information that you want all public site visitors to see.
Admin:Auction:Invoices - full refund capabilities have been added for ALL payment types including Credit Card (MaxanetPay), Cash, Check, and Other. Previously the system was updated allowing for Refunds for MaxanetPay users only. To initiate a refund, click on the arrow (<) next to the Invoice# which will display a drop down section with the payments for that invoice. From the right side you can refund the payments which will be noted on the invoice.
Admin:Auction:Gallery - new photo tools that allow you to set the Primary photo, and reshuffle the order of the photos for the items (from left to right). You must hover over the picture you want to make the Primary, and then click on the white colored 'checkmark'. The other photos can be 'dragged and dropped' into the preferred order. We'll be making additional changes/updates to this Gallery page in the near future to make it user friendly including showing all items/photos without needing to expand them, removing any unnecessary clicks/confirmations, and making the image order just a simple left to right with the left image being the primary.
Admin:Auctions:Ended Auctions - Clone an ended auction. You can now clone an ended auction
Admin:Auction:Consignors - a new 'Consignors' tab is now visible in the Auction Dashboard navigation menu. The consignors tab will show current totals for each consignor in the auction.
Admin:Users:Failed Registrations - in the left column of the NEXT navigation menu, under the Users page, is a new page called Failed Registrations. Any bidder who did not complete the new bidder registration form will be listed here, along with any potential error code they may have received. If the bidder simply abandoned the registration form, no error code will be present. This can be a handy tool to proactively reach out to potential bidders who could not finalize their registration form.
Admin:Configurations:Email Templates: New Bidder Registration. When a new bidder registers with your site, you'll receive a new email from the system with a lot more bidder information including Bidder#, Name, Company, Email, Ph#, Address(es), etc.
Admin:Users:Users list - all bidder phone numbers have been updated to the same syntax with dashes (123-456-7890)
Admin:GoToAdmin:Preferences - Google Tags. An update was made to fix a bug where if previously you entered a Google Tag (Google Analytics Tracking code) it was not showing.
Public Pages:Auction:Inventory - Performance improvements for the 'countdown timer' where the timer would sometimes glitch when it went into auto-extended bidding
Admin:Auction:Items - HEIC image types are now allowed to be uploaded (from an Iphone)
Other updates include: Bidder password special character validation, downloading summary invoice issues, sporadic issue with bid increments when max bids were placed, Bidder profile payment method update error message resolved, public page global search updates, MS Excel inventory file sorting
February 22, 2022 — System Update
Admin:Auction:Invoices - new 'Refund' capabilities for MaxanetPay/credit card, cash, check, and other payment type. Click on the arrow (>) to the left of the Invoice# to show all payments and the new delete or refund options. You can do a full refund or partial refund.
Admin:Auctions:Download Items Report - updated Excel sheet download that now includes the additional item description, custom column headers from an Excel upload, the FEE codes associated with each item, and the public URL of each item.
Admin:Configurations:Public Page Config - added a new option that allows the Admin to choose if the Bidder# is displayed to the public on the bid history page of each item. The default option is to Obfuscate (bidder 1001 = 1**1) but you can now show the full bidder#, or completely hide the bidder#.
Admin:Users:Bidder/User Profile - moved the 'tax exemption #' from the right column into a new Tab called 'Tax Exemptions'.
Admin:Users:Search by Name - Updates to an issue with search results by Name when 2 or more bidders have the same exact last name.
Admin:Contacts - fixed an issue where the system was sending all emails to the BCC email address, rather than just 1 copy of the email to that BCC address.
Public Pages: Bidder: Watchlist - fixed an issue where the 'star' was unchecked on the Catalog page, but checked on the item level.
Public Pages: New Bidder Registration Form - made some language updates and updated error messages.
Public Pages: Auctions - Updates to the navigation and the browser 'back' button.
Public Pages: Auctions - Updated the 'tab' icon colors at the top of the inventory page to a neutral background color (grey).
Public Pages: Auctions - fixed a sporadic issue where the 'description' of the item was not shown by default on the item level.
February 4, 2022 — System Update
System update / patch with the following:
Public:Auction:Inventory - in a recent update we changed the default 'ALL ITEMS' to 'OPEN ITEMS' but unfortunately this caused some sporadic issues reported by bidders seeing a 'no data found' message. We have now reverted this back so the default is ALL ITEMS again.
Public:Bidder Registration/Profile Update:Credit Cards - we have added new AVS settings for better verification
January 27, 2022 — System Update
System Update which includes the following:
Public:Auctions:Inventory - the default has been changed from the view of 'ALL ITEMS' to now being a default view of 'OPEN ITEMS'. If the user enters the auction after it's already started to close, by default they would not see the items that have already closed. The user/bidder can click on the 'View Items' drop down menu to change the view.
Public:Consignor Profile: Adding Items - a fix was made to address issues with consignors uploading their own inventory items/photos.
Public:Bidder Profile:Invoices Tab - changes to the Auction Title (previously was showing the Item Name if only 1 item on invoice and the internal auction code#).
Admin:Auctions:Settlement Reports - new 'MANAGE CREDIT' option. This will allow the client add FEES that are paid to the consignor.
Admin:Auctions:Settlement Reports - adjusted some 'rounding' issues with the total amount due
Admin:Auctions:Dashboard/Invoices - updated to show matching auction totals ($)
Admin:Configuration:Public Page Config - added a new 'Auction Page Size' option under the Content section that allows the admin to choose how many auctions to display on the public Calendar page.
Admin:Users - added 'company name' to the searchable drop down menu
Admin:Users - fixed an issue regarding 'blank spaces' in the Users page search boxes. The system will now search if a blank space is added before or after the search term.
Admin:Auction:Cloning an Auction:Permissions. An update was made to fix an issue where the User Permissions were not carrying over to the newly cloned auction.
Admin:Email Templates: Outbid notification emails: The size of the thumbnail image has been reduced to a smaller size.
Admin:Auction:Add/Edit Item: Custom Fields - updated to reflect the proper order of custom fields when displayed to the public
Other smaller updates/bug fixes include: Fixing some sporadic download errors with Invoices. Uploading images to the Add/Edit Item page. Payment options inside the Admin:Users:Bidder Profile, duplicate images shown during the 'preview'.
January 7, 2022 — System Update
This was a system patch to address 2 issues:
Admin: Auction: Invoices: Detailed Invoice - we have reverted the DETAILED invoice back to the previous version/format which will show the Sales Tax % / Premium % on the invoice again.
Admin: Auction: Add/Edit Item - if you checkmark attributes of the item and then click 'save & duplicate', those checkboxes will also carry over to the next item.
