QR Code Bulk Photo Uploader:
The QR code lot label system prints out lot stickers for your inventory items - you then take pictures of these lot labels and then the pictures of your items. You then bulk upload an entire folder of photos from your computer and Maxanet will read the QR codes and assign the pictures automatically to the correct items. The QR code bulk photo uploader is an ideal solution for clients with larger auctions that may contain 1,000's of photos.
Here's how it works:
Print out the QR Code labels for your inventory. This can be done either before or after items/descriptions have been entered.
With a DSLR Camera, or any point and shoot camera, take the first picture of the Lot Label for item #1 in the auction. Take an up close picture, and make sure the QR code is in focus. Next, take all of the pictures for item #1. This can be 1 picture, or 20 pictures. Next, take a picture of the Lot Label for item #2 in the auction, and then take all photos of item#2. Repeat with item#3 lot sticker and then the photos, repeat.
Download all of the photos from the camera onto your computer. Review the photos and then ZIP the images. How to ZIP in Windows instructions. How to ZIP in Mac instructions.
*IMPORTANT* You must ZIP the pictures themselves, not the folder containing the pictures. Highlight all of the images (select all) and then right click and select "Send To" and then "Compressed Zip Folder". This will take all of the photos and zip them into a new zip file.Upload the ZIP file from the QR Actions menu located in the Auction dashboard of your Maxanet administrative panel.
Done - but review your photos. If there are any mistakes after you've already uploaded your ZIP file, you can adjust your photos on your computer and then rezip the folder and upload it again. It will overwrite the photos.
In your Maxanet administrative panel, click on the Auction Title, and then go to the Items page. From the QR Actions drop down menu, you can either click on the Generate QR Codes button (if you have not yet created your inventory descriptions) or you can click on the Download QR PDF (if you already have created your inventory).
If you are generating QR codes without inventory items/descriptions already created, you must give a range of items. The first item and the last item in the auction.
When you click the Download QR PDF option, it will open the labels in a ready to print page. We recommend Avery Template # 5160 which you can purchase from Amazon/Staples/OfficeMax/etc. There are 30 stickers/labels per page.
