Overview
Maxanet gives admins two different ways to help a bidder regain access to their account: sending an automated password-reset email, or generating a one-time password the admin can share manually. Use the automated email when the bidder has a working email address, and use the one-time password option when the email is not reaching them or they need immediate access.
How to send a password-reset email to a bidder
Open the Users page in your Maxanet Admin panel and find the bidder. Click the 3-dot Actions menu on the bidder's row and select Reset Password. Maxanet will immediately send an automated password-reset email to the bidder's registered email address. The bidder clicks the link in the email to set a new password and log back in.
How to generate a one-time password for a bidder
If the bidder does not receive the password-reset email (spam filters, wrong address on file, any unforeseen issue), you can generate a one-time password directly from the Users page. Click the 3-dot Actions menu for the bidder and select Generate One Time Password. Maxanet displays the password on your screen — you, as the admin, then pass it to the bidder over the phone, by text, or through your own email. The bidder can immediately log in using this one-time password and set a new permanent password once inside.

Common questions
The bidder says they never received the reset email — what should I do?
Generate a one-time password from the Users → Actions menu and share it with the bidder directly by phone, text, or email. The bidder can log in immediately and set a permanent password.
Does the one-time password expire?
The one-time password is intended for immediate single use — as soon as the bidder logs in, they should set a new permanent password from their profile.
Can I see the bidder's existing password as an admin?
No. Maxanet stores bidder passwords encrypted. You can only trigger a reset email or generate a new one-time password — never view the current one.
