Overview
Maxanet has an optional Post-Sale Price Sort feature that reorders items on an ended auction's public page so the highest-priced sold items appear at the top. This is useful for marketing — potential consignors and bidders can see the high-value items the auction sold at a glance, which signals the auction's performance. You can enable Post-Sale Price Sort either during auction creation or retroactively from the Auctions page.
How to enable Post-Sale Price Sort during auction creation
When creating a new auction, scroll through the Add/Edit Auction form and find the Post-Sale Price Sort checkbox. Check it before saving. When the auction ends, Maxanet will automatically reorder the items on the public page by price descending (highest first).
How to enable or disable Price Sort on an existing auction
From the Auctions page in your admin panel, click the 3-dot Actions menu on the auction row and choose Enable Post-Sale Price Sort. If the feature is already enabled, the same menu shows Disable Post-Sale Price Sort so you can turn it back off. The change takes effect immediately on the public auction page.
Common questions
When does Post-Sale Price Sort take effect?
When the auction has ended and items have their final sale prices. Enabling it during an active auction has no visible effect until the auction closes.
Will enabling Price Sort change item numbers or reorder them in the admin panel?
No. Only the public page display order changes. Item numbers and admin-side ordering remain unchanged.
Can I toggle Price Sort on and off multiple times after an auction ends?
Yes. Use the Actions menu on the Auctions page to enable or disable the feature at any time — the public page updates accordingly.
Does Price Sort affect unsold or no-bid items?
Unsold and no-bid items typically sort at the bottom after the priced/sold items, though behavior depends on the specific items and prices. Test with a completed auction to see exact behavior.
