Overview

Maxanet supports both English and Spanish as the public-facing language on your auction site. The default is English, but you can change it to Spanish from Public Page Configuration. When multi-language is enabled, bidders also see a toggle switch at the bottom of every public page that lets them switch between Spanish and English on their own.

How to change the default language to Spanish

From your Maxanet Admin panel, open Admin β†’ Configurations β†’ Public Page Configuration. Find the Preferred Language setting β€” the default is English. Change it to Spanish and save. From that point on, every public auction page loads in Spanish by default for new visitors.

How bidders can switch languages themselves

When multi-language is enabled, Maxanet displays a language toggle at the bottom of every public auction page. Bidders can use that toggle at any time to switch between Spanish and English without logging in or changing account settings. The switch persists for their session.

Common questions

Does changing the language translate my item descriptions?

No. Maxanet translates the user interface (buttons, labels, navigation), but item descriptions, titles, and custom content you've entered remain in whatever language you wrote them in. For truly bilingual descriptions, type both languages in the description field.

Can I offer languages other than English and Spanish?

Not at this time. Maxanet currently supports only English and Spanish as public-facing interface languages.

Will bidders registered on my English site see Spanish if I switch the default?

Every visitor sees whatever language is set as the default when they land on the page. Returning bidders can use the bottom toggle to switch back.
