As of July 2023, we are providing 2,500 Text Message Outbid Notifications per Calendar month at no additional cost to our clients. We've also waived the old $30/month service fee moving forward.

If you go over the 2,500 text message per month allotment, there is a $0.025 cost per message sent (2.5 cents per message). This charge will be added onto your monthly Maxanet invoice for the previous months usage.

Each client gets their own unique 'from' phone number that the text messages will come from. These 'from' phone numbers are not shared with other clients.

Clients can request text messaging outbid notifications to be turned on for their account by emailing us at Support@Maxanet.com or by using the Live Chat feature in your Maxanet admin panel.

In your admin panel, navigate to the Admin: GoToAdmin: Roles & Permissions: Bidder (edit the bidder permissions with the wrench icon).

Check the box called, 'Subscribe to Text SMS Alerts' to allow your existing bidders to opt-in or opt-out through their public bidder profiles Communications tab.

When text messaging is enabled for your account, your new bidder registration form will change to include the 'opt-in' checkbox with a disclaimer regarding carrier data rates the bidder may incur. New bidders can simply uncheck this box if they do not wish to receive the text message outbid notifications.

Existing bidders can navigate to their 'Communications' tab of their public Bidder Profile page where they will see the checkbox to Opt-in to Subscribe to Text SMS Alerts. Bidders can also 'uncheck' this box to opt-out at any point. Bidders can also reply back to any text message with the word, 'STOP' which will unsubscribe them.

Note: We can BULK UPDATE your entire bidder list to OPT-IN to text messaging at your request.

The Admin can also opt-in, or opt-out, bidders through the Admin: Users: User Profile. The right hand column of the page has a YES/NO toggle switch for Subscribe to Text SMS alerts:

Your bidders who are opted in will start to receive automated instant text message alerts when they are outbid on an item as seen below:

Each outbid message includes the Item#, the Item Name, and Title of the auction, and a hyperlink to the item itself that will open in the devices default web browser. The message also has instructions on how to Opt-out by replying, 'STOP' to unsubscribe.
