Please review each of the system updates listed below.

  • Auction Level Pageviews. Last month we upgraded the backend of the software to the newest version of Google Analytics (GA4). This month we've started to incorporate auction level pageviews into the Admin>Auction>Auction Dashboard page. We will be continuing to add additional metrics for both global & auction level analytics in the months to come.

    • Lifetime pageviews = total # of pageviews, including after the auction has ended

    • Active pageviews = from the start date to the end date of the auction

  • Non-Taxable Item Category. In the Admin>Inventory>Item Categories page, when you Add a new Category, there is now an option to make that Category 'Non Taxable'. Any item associated to a Non-Taxable Category will be automatically tax-exempt.

    • You cannot edit an existing Category to make it tax-exempt. You will need to create a new Category from scratch and make it tax-exempt. There is a 'Replace' function on Admin>Inventory>Item Categories page where you can move/merge old Categories to your new category.

  • Grouped Items. The 'name' of the Item Group will now be displayed on the public auction pages underneath the description of the item.

  • Public>Bidder>Global Watchlist page - open items. An update was made to make the default be 'ALL ITEMS' instead of 'Open Items' in the bidders Global Watchlist page.

  • Auction Level Fees. When using the 'Save & New' function in the Admin>Auction>Items>Add/Edit Item page, there was an issue where the auction level fee was not auto-filling in for the new item.

  • Deleting Fees on the Invoice Level. In the Admin>Auction>Invoices tab, if you select an invoice, or multiple invoices, and then use the orange colored Group Action>Delete Fees and Tax option, you will see the following screen:

The system will now allow you to delete specific Fees or Tax, or delete custom Fees from the selected invoice(s). For example, if you are charging a 15% buyers premium on all of the invoices but offer a 12% buyers premium if the bidder is paying cash. Select the invoice(s), Group Actions>Delete Fees and Tax, and use the 'Delete Specific Fee and Tax' option, and then from the drop down menu, select the 15% Premium Fee you want to delete, and click on the 'Yes' button to remove it. You can then quickly apply the new 12% Premium Fee to the invoice(s)

  • Offline Items updates. We have added the status for Offline items to the Admin>Auction>Items tab and we have included the Offline item info in the Sales Tax report.

  • Sales Tax Report - additional fields added. The Download Sales Tax Report (excel file) now includes the total tax collected for each individual Tax Fee Code (Bid Amount x Tax Rate = Tax)

  • Public Auction Pages Navigation - anchor points added when using the 'Back' button on the browser to return to the previous page of an auction.

  • New Bidder Registration Passwords. There is now an option for the bidder to 'show their password' as they are typing it out. This can help when you have to type your password in twice. Also, we experienced issues with the '%' character in bidders passwords so we have removed it as an acceptable character.

  • Public Pages>Sharing to Facebook. An issue was fixed where the shared URL was the '.maxanet.auction' URL, not your custom masked URL.
