System updates include:
Admins/company Users Multifactor Authentication. Any user who logs into your Maxanet admin panel will now be required to authenticate their login with an email verification code. There will be a checkbox that you can click which will remember this code for 30 days.
GoToAuction.com. We have added an optional service where Maxanet clients can now opt-in and publish their auctions to GoToAuction.com. Listing your auction details on GoToAuction and their affiliate sites can help drive traffic and new bidders to your sales.
To use this service, please visit GoToAuction.com and register your company for free:
https://www.gotoauction.com/companies/signup
Once registered, please email us at Support@Maxanet.com with your GoToAuction Company ID#. We will then enable a new option in your admin panel that will give the admin the option to publish your auction details to GoToAuctions.com in the Admin>Auction>Add/Edit Auction page.
Automated emails for bidder failed registrations. We've added a new email template that is automatically sent out to bidders who attempt to register but do not finish the registration process. You can customize this email template in the Admin>Configurations>Email Templates>Bidder Failed Registration.
3rd party hosted inventory images. In the Admin>Auction>Items page, under the Lot Actions button, we've added a new option to the drop down menu called, 'External Image Bulk Upload'.
It's a very simple excel file. Column#A is the Item# and column#B are the image URLs for that corresponding item. The delimiter for multiple images is 2 'pipe' symbols.
Here is an example of what the delimiter for multiple photos looks like:
https://maxanet.com/maxanet_logo.png||https://maxanet.com/maxanet_logo.jpg
After import, the system will take these photos, download/copy them, and display them. This upload process may take at least a few minutes to complete and display the images in the admin panel and the public auction pages.
Inventory import without SKU#. In the Admin>Auction>Items page, under the Lot Actions button, we've added a new option to the drop down menu called, 'Import Inventory without SKU# Excel Sheet'.
This new inventory upload option will allow clients to upload simple inventory without the need to download the inventory file first.
To use this new import, the admin needs to use the Lot Actions>Create Inventory and create the blank inventory items. You can then proceed to upload your excel file without the SKU#'s being required. There is a Sample Template you can download to view the new column headers for this import.
New image file name format options for Bulk Upload. In the Admin>Auction>Items page, under the Lot Actions button, we have the 'Image Bulk Upload' option. We have added new accepted file name formats which are in line with the default windows file naming.
In your folder, select/highlight all of the images you wish to rename and then click on the rename. In the above example, we put '1' as the new filename. Windows will automatically rename all of the selected file names with this format:
1.jpg, 1 (2).jpg, 1 (3).jpg, etc.
This new file name format is now acceptable to use to bulk upload your images in the Admin>Auction>Items>Lot Actions>Image Bulk upload page.
MaxanetPay updates. We've made a few updates to our MaxanetPay system including:
An update to the code and the way transaction data is transmitted for processing - this should result in fewer declined payments.
New Error message displayed to the bidders. If the Admin has the 'authorization' setting in place on the auction level, and a bidder fails the authorization, there was potentially an issue where the bidder would attempt to add a new credit card to their profile. We've now added an error message to be displayed to the bidder if this new card they were adding was not accepted. Previously the system would show duplicated card #'s in the bidder profile.
A new timestamp has been added that will show the admin when the card on file was added by the bidder. This can be seen by the Admin when they are recording a payment on an invoice. This can be helpful when attempting to charge an invoice as the admin can now see if the bidder has added a new card to run the charge against.
Bidders who have had their bidding privileges turned OFF, can now log into their bidder profile and add a new credit card / payment method to their account. Bidders who have their bidding privileges turned OFF cannot make their own payment - only the admin can record a payment.
New option for the Bidder to automatically make the new credit card they are adding to their bidder profile by the primary/default card on file.
Bug fixes:
There was sometimes an issue for the admin to download the 'Items Report' and 'Items without bids' report which has been fixed.
If the admin has the 'Spanish Version' of Maxanet set as the primary, bidders were experiencing an issue where they were unable to reset their password.
Max Bid issue: There was an issue where if multiple bidders entered the same max bid on an item, the system in some scenarios was not creating the appropriate system bid.
