Overview
GoTo Auction is a third-party marketplace where bidders sign up to receive notifications about upcoming auctions. Maxanet integrates with GoTo Auction so you can publish your Maxanet auctions directly to your GoTo Auction company page without double-entry. Signup is free, you can advertise unlimited auctions, and upload as many photos as you like. This article covers how to create a GoTo Auction account, link it to your Maxanet account, and publish specific auctions.
Step 1 — Create a GoTo Auction account (free)
If you do not already have a GoTo Auction account, visit gotoauction.com and click Add Your Auction Company. Complete the signup form to create your free account.
Step 2 — Find your GoTo Auction Company ID and send it to Maxanet
Once your GoTo Auction account exists, log in and find your Company ID number on the My Sales List page of your GoTo Auction account. Email this number to support@maxanet.com and request GoTo Auction integration. Maxanet's support team will configure the integration into your Maxanet admin panel for you.
Step 3 — Enable Share on GoTo Auction per auction
Once the integration is configured, publishing an auction to GoTo Auction is done per-auction. Go to Current or Draft Auctions → Add/Edit Auction, check the Share on GoTo Auction Marketplace option, and click Update to save. It may take a few minutes for the auction to appear on GoTo Auction. In your GoTo Auction admin view it shows under Current Listings, and in the public view under Upcoming Auctions.
Important: enter state and zip for GoTo Auction's search to find you
GoTo Auction bidders use location-based search (state + zip) to find relevant auctions. Important: to ensure your auctions are discoverable, enter the state and zip code in the address fields on the Add/Edit Auction page before enabling the Share on GoTo Auction Marketplace option. Without a state and zip, your auction may not appear in location-based searches on GoTo Auction.

How quickly do auctions appear on GoTo Auction after I enable sharing?
Usually within a few minutes. Check your GoTo Auction admin panel under Current Listings to confirm the auction is there.
Why can't bidders find my auction in GoTo Auction search?
The most common reason is missing state or zip code on the Maxanet auction's address fields. Both are required for GoTo Auction's location-based search to match your auction to nearby bidders.
Can I unshare an auction from GoTo Auction?
Yes. Uncheck the Share on GoTo Auction Marketplace option on Edit Auction and save. The listing is removed from GoTo Auction on the next sync.
Is there a cost to integrate GoTo Auction with Maxanet?
No. Maxanet's GoTo Auction integration is free — you just need to create a GoTo Auction account and email your Company ID to support@maxanet.com.
