Connecting the Zebra DS2278

Turn on the Scanner: Press and hold the scanner's trigger until the LED light illuminates. Ensure it is fully charged.

Put the Scanner in Bluetooth Pairing Mode: Scan the QR code and barcode below.

First, scan this QR code to enable the iOS Enhancement Feature:

Next, scan the barcode below to enable Bluetooth mode for iOS devices:

Open Bluetooth Settings on the iPad: On the iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.

Find and Select the Scanner: In the list of Bluetooth devices, look for the DS2278 Scanner. Tap on it to connect.

Open Meadow App, and go to “Barcode Scanners” in the side menu

Tap on the “Setup Zebra BLE” button at the bottom

A few seconds for after you scan the barcode, you should be prompted with a message to pair the sanner with your iPad.

Zebra scanners have many options available for settings; check out the Zebra DS2278 Guide here (https://www.zebra.com/content/dam/support-dam/en/documentation/unrestricted/guide/product/ds2278-prg-en.pdf). These can be updated by scanning codes or using the Zebra iPad app.

Scan the barcode labeled "Set Factory Defaults" in the user manual to restore the scanner to its default settings.
