Med App has the ability to add 'custom fields' to each user's profile (e.g. StaffID number, AMC number, AHPRA number), for some more info check our article here.

Now you can use that custom information on clinician's profiles to pre-fill information in Forms that you distribute to clinicians. This will:

  • Save clinicians time entering in standard information

  • Reduce potential for error from typos or other data entry errors.

  • Allow use of wide variety of information types across Forms, Mailouts and Events.

How does it work?

If you have a custom field set up in your account (chat to the Hospital Success team if you don't, or don't know) when creating a Form template you can added it as a pre-filled question

When a clinician is assigned a new form or starts an ad-hoc form, that information will automatically be completed.

If they want/need to change or add to that info then they have the ability to do it right there in the form.

Note: Making an edit in the Form (at this stage) will not update the underlying data, this needs to be done via the 'more' section of the app or in the dashboard.

What are some examples?

  • Pre-fill an AMC number on a Mini-CEX form

  • Pre-fill an AHPRA number on a WRIG-30

  • Pre-fill a staffID on an orientation checklist

  • Pre-fill a clinical term name

  • Pre-fill a unique URL for each clinician

There are many potential use cases for this, so please reach out to the Hospital Success team to see how we might be able to save Hospital Teams and clinicians time!
