This feature lets you send a PDF article to any fax number, essentially wireless printing without being on a specific network. This can be useful if you need to quickly print out a handout to give to someone, or if you need a hardcopy form for someone that is available in the app.

F-A-X, yes to people outside health they do still exist. Many printers may have an associated fax number. Med App allows you to utilise this to send a PDF document to a printer with a couple clicks.

Remember you can also 'share' articles to email, sms and to other apps in your device.

How to:

  1. Go to a PDF article in Med App (this is not available for 'rich text' articles)

  2. Across the bottom of the app you will see a 'Fax' button, tap it.

  3. Enter in the fax number

    1. Tip: Remember to put in the full number including state code. E.g for Victoria this is '03'. So it would be 03 1234 5678

  4. Hit Send

  5. You document will be queued and sent. Just go and wait at the printer!
