Feed Wall module - discussion forum

What is the Feed Wall module used for?

With the Feed Wall module, you allow Application users to express their opinions, exchange experiences and discuss in a forum visible only in the place dedicated to them, which is Application and Landing Page of the event:

Creating channels in the Feed Wall module

Selecting the Feed Wall module automatically creates a general channel where all App participants can exchange their opinions. So if you want to collect all communication in one place, you don't need to set up anything else!

To create more channels, go to the next step in the top menu - Content. Then select the Feed Wall module from the side menu, followed by the (+) Add Channel button in the lower right corner. It is important that the name of the channel is clear - this will help participants choose which channel best suits their interests and needs.

PRO TIP

When editing or creating a channel, we recommend creating a Welcome Post, which will be pinned at the top of the channel. To do this, complete the Post Content and Upload Image fields. The Welcome Post can contain both information about the channel, the organization of the entire event or information from the sponsor - it is also a great place to encourage event participants to communicate openly and share their experiences:

How to create a dedicated channel for a selected group of users

Wanting to create a dedicated channel for a specific group of users, such as VIP participants or a closed section, it is necessary to prepare user_group tags. For detailed instructions on how to do this, see the article: Application content management.

After creating tags in the Tag Database section, select the Feed Wall module from the menu on the left. In the window that appears, go to the module settings by pressing the label button in the upper right corner. Here, add the previously created user_groups tags that you want to assign to this module:

NOTE!

From now on, newly created channels will automatically include all tags added to the module.

Selecting the appropriate group tags

When you create/edit a channel, you will be asked to select a target group in the Choose User Groups section. All tags will be added automatically, so you only need to exclude groups for which the channel is not intended.

Remember to first remove the All users tag, which allows access for all participants - even those who are not assigned to any group.

If the tags were added to the module after the channel was created, they did not load automatically. You can complete this data by clicking Choose user group tag and selecting the appropriate groups:

Moderation - manage the content shared in the Feed Wall module

As an administrator, you can manage the content that appears on the channels you have created. In the admin panel, at the top of the screen, select the Manage section, then Feed Wall, and the channel you want to verify. From this level, you have a view of the posts added by participants, and you can delete those you find inappropriate:

Have a successful event with Meeting Application!
