What Syncs with Lever

Updated over a month ago

Mega and Lever stay in lockstep; what you see in one reflects in the other, and Megan’s work writes back instantly.

The Mega + Lever integration is built so Megan (your AI hiring assistant) is always working from the same source of truth your team sees in Lever. Wherever you make updates, Lever or Mega, they stay in sync.

This article covers what information syncs between Mega and Lever. To see how Megan actually uses that data, check out:

Embedding Megan in Lever stages to screen, score, move, and schedule candidates automatically.

Quick commands for Megan to reach out, schedule, screen, score, and update candidates whenever you need.

Just like with our other ATS integrations, relevant recruiting data is mirrored in real time and any actions Megan takes are written back to your ATS so nothing lives “off to the side.”

Real-Time Sync from Lever → Mega

The following data is synced from Lever into Mega in (near) real time. As soon as these items are created or updated in Lever, Megan can see and act on them inside Mega:

  • Candidates
Every candidate profile you add or update in Lever shows up in Mega so Megan can search, screen, and take action on them.

  • Candidate Applications
Each application a candidate submits (for any job) is synced to Mega, including the job they applied to and the relevant stage. This gives Megan full context when she’s screening or reaching out.

  • Candidate Activity
Notes, emails, stage changes, outreach, and other activity logged in Lever are reflected in Mega. Megan uses this activity history to avoid duplicating work and to keep conversations consistent with what’s already happened.

  • Candidate Feedback
Interview feedback recorded by your team in Lever is available in Mega. Megan can factor feedback into who she prioritizes, and surface candidates that have already been highly rated.

  • Add Candidate
When you or your team add a new candidate directly in Lever, that candidate is automatically created in Mega as well—no manual re-entry.

  • Add Referral
Employee referrals added in Lever sync into Mega so Megan can treat them appropriately in searches, outreach, and reporting.

  • Communication & Activity Logging

Every time Megan takes action, screening a candidate, moving stages, disqualifying, triggering self-scheduling, or kicking off a background check, she logs a note in the activity feed in Mega. Those same updates are also surfaced in the candidate’s Overview section in Lever, so your team can always see what Megan did, when she did it, and why, without leaving Lever.

  • Job Team
Changes to hiring managers, recruiters, and interviewers on the job team in Lever are synced to Mega. That way, Megan always knows who’s involved in the hiring process for each role.

  • Feedback Summary (thumbs up / thumbs down)
Simple recommendation signals in Lever (e.g., 👍 / 👎) are pulled into Mega so Megan can quickly understand how the team feels about a candidate at a glance.

  • Delete Candidate
When a candidate is deleted in Lever, they’re removed from Mega as well, helping you respect data retention policies and keep your workspace clean.

  • Archive Candidate
Archiving a candidate in Lever updates their status in Mega, so Megan won’t continue to actively work on people your team has decided to archive.

Scheduled Syncs from Lever → Mega

Some data doesn’t need to be real time, so we sync it on a regular schedule (hourly) for performance and stability.

  • Jobs (synced at intervals)
Job information: titles, locations, descriptions, and high-level configuration syncs from Lever into Mega throughout the day.

    • New jobs created in Lever will appear in Mega on this schedule.

    • Updates to existing jobs (like title tweaks or description edits) will be reflected after the next scheduled sync.

Once jobs are synced over, Megan can use them as the foundation for screening, sourcing, and other workflows in later sections of this article.

What Mega Writes Back to Lever

Any time you or Megan take action in Mega that affects Lever data, we write those changes back so Lever remains your system of record. Examples include:

  • Creating or updating candidates and referrals

  • Archiving or deleting candidates

  • Logging activity and notes related to candidates

  • Updating feedback summaries and other candidate-related fields

That means you can safely let recruiters work with Megan in Mega, Slack, Chrome Extension or email knowing everything important is still tracked in Lever for reporting, compliance, and collaboration.
