How Megan Works Conversationally

Updated over a month ago

In addition to running quietly in the background through workflows, Megan is also available on-demand right when you need her.

From Mega, Slack, email, or the Chrome extension, you can ask Megan to take action on a single candidate or a whole batch of candidates, and she’ll update Lever as the system of record.

You stay in control. Megan handles the clicks.

Stage & Status Actions

Move Candidate to Stage

Tell Megan where you want a candidate (or a group of candidates) to go in your Lever pipeline, and she’ll move them for you.

An example would be moving candidates that scored a certain number or above, or have specific backgrounds into a Review stage.

Disqualify Candidate

If you decide someone isn’t the right fit, you can ask Megan to disqualify them; no extra navigation required.

Un-Disqualify Candidate

Changed your mind or disqualified someone by mistake? Ask Megan to un-disqualify a candidate(s) so they’re active again in your Lever pipeline and available for future stages.

Move Candidate from Score

When you’ve asked Megan to score a batch of candidates, you can follow up with:

  • “Move everyone with a score above 80 to Phone Screen.”

Megan uses her existing scores to make these changes in Lever for you.

Scheduling & Logistics

Schedule Candidate

Ask Megan to schedule an interview directly:

  • “Schedule a 30-minute phone screen with Taylor next week Tuesday at 1pm with Jordan.”

Megan finds the right availability, sets up the event, and logs it back to Lever.

Self-Schedule Candidate

Prefer self-scheduling? Ask Megan to send a scheduling link to the candidate instead.

  • Example: “Send this candidate a self-schedule link for a 45-minute Zoom with Jordan.”

Megan sends the invite, tracks responses, and updates Lever when the candidate books.

Background Check Candidate

When a candidate is ready for background checks, you can ask Megan to kick it off in case you don't have a stage-action built.

Megan kicks off your configured background check flow and updates the status so your team knows when it’s complete.

Screening & Decision Support

Screen Candidate

Whenever needed, you can ask Megan to review a candidate using your Ideal Candidate Guidelines. Maybe you want to screen a candidate that finished second for another role you're opening up.

Megan evaluates their resume, application, and history, then returns a structured screen summary.

Score Candidate

Need a quick way to prioritize? Ask Megan to score a candidate or a whole group:

  • “Score all new applicants for the Customer Success Manager role.”

Scores and key notes are written back to Lever so your team can sort and filter easily.

Auto Advance from Screen

After Megan has screened and scored candidates, you can trigger your rules on-demand.

Megan reviews and moves candidates who meet your thresholds to the correct next stage in Lever.

Auto Disqualify from Screen

Similarly, you can ask Megan to apply your disqualification rules after a screen.

Megan disqualifies those candidates in Lever and logs the reasons consistently.

Data & File Updates

Resume Update

When a candidate sends an updated resume (e.g., via email, Slack, or another channel), you can forward it or upload it and say:

  • "Reach out to candidates who applied over a year ago and ask for an updated resume."

Megan updates the resume file so everyone sees the current version.

File Update

Beyond resumes, you can ask Megan to add or update other files on the candidate record:

  • Portfolios

  • Cover letters

  • Offer letters

  • Assessments or take-home exercises

Just specify the candidate and the file; Megan attaches it to the right place in Lever and keeps the record tidy.
