Having clear terms for your affiliate program will ensure a great experience for everyone involved, and MemberVault makes it easy for you to set affiliate terms inside your account!

Go to Affiliates > Settings. Here, you can add your affiliate terms in the provided box:

Once you set this, your members will see the terms next time they access your Affiliate Center. Here's an example from our MV Learn site:

Here are a few things we recommend including in your terms. Please note this is not legal advice and please reach out to a lawyer with any questions. We recommend the AWB Firm, and they also sell an affiliate term template - http://membervault.co/legal #AffiliateLink

We recommend including:

- What behavior you expect from your affiliates

- What will happen if you see unacceptable behavior

  • When, how often, and how will affiliate payouts be sent

  • How long your cookie is set for (6 months)

  • What products are available for commission and what is the commission %

  • A disclaimer that your affiliate program can end at any time

  • Where they need to go for affiliate links

  • how affiliate links are tracked, why they might not be (ie if someone clicks someone else’s affiliate link before converting), and that you are not responsible for improper use of links
