MemberVault has a great built-in form that allows you to add new members to your email list whenever they sign up for your products and offers.
That said, it's always a good idea to experiment and have multiple different ways for your people to join your list! In this article, we'll show you an advanced strategy you can use to attract more people to your email list through a pop-up form in MV.
We're using Kit as an example here -- however if your email tool provides a pop-up form option that you can embed using Javascript, these steps will be similar for you!
In your Kit Account, go to the "Grow" tab, then select "Landing Pages & Forms".
Create a new modal (pop-up) form following these steps, or select a modal form you've already created.
Once your form is ready to add to your MV site, click "Embed" in the top right corner, then copy the Javascript code that appears first in the pop-up window.
Open your MV admin dashboard, and navigate to "Settings."
On the General Settings page, scroll down to "Advanced" and click to toggle this bar open.
Under "Custom Javascript" paste your code from your Kit form, and click anywhere on the screen to save this!
Now anyone clicking on your MV site will see this form pop-up and be able to join your list! In Kit, you can customize how frequently this shows up or hide it from people who have already joined your list.
**If your form involves delivering a free product to your new list subscribers, you can use a Kit webhook to add them to your MV account when they sign up through this form!
Want to embed your pop-up form on a specific page or blog post of your site, and not your entire site? No problem!
Rather than embedding this in your overall MV settings, click on the page or post where you want to embed this form, and paste your Javascript code in the Custom Javascript section of that specific page or post.
