You can use a free or paid Mailchimp Plan with MemberVault. If you're considering using Mailchimp as your connected email service provider with MV, you can use this article to help you decide which plan works best for you!

Free Plan

Pro's

  • You can have up to 500 contacts on Mailchimp's Free Plan

  • Ability to use landing pages and sign-up forms

  • Access to the Content Studio + Creative Assistant (limited on free)

  • Easy integration with MemberVault and many other applications

  • Audience and engagement analytics (limited on free)

Con's

  • Limited to no automation capability. (*See note below)

  • You can only send 1000 emails a month or 500 emails a day -- this number refers to the number of contacts you have, not the number of campaigns you write. So if you have 250 subscribers, you can only send four total emails in one month.

  • You're not able to schedule emails in advance

  • No support after the first 30 days

*Mailchimp used to provide Classic Automations, allowing you to send a Welcome email on the free plan when a new user signs up for your product. However, this feature is now only offered to those who have used a Classic Automation in the past and is no longer provided for new accounts. So if you are on a free plan with Mailchimp and have never used a Classic Automation, you will not be able to make use of this email automation strategy, which we highly encourage you to do in your MV products! In order to use Mailchimp's Customer Journey Automation feature you will need to upgrade to one of their paid plans.

Essentials Plan

Pro's

  • All features on the free plan in addition to...

  • Automated customer journeys

  • send up to 10 emails to your list each month

Con's

  • Automated customer journeys are limited to 4 steps per automation. This is fine if you just need a basic automation, but gets tricky if you have a more complex multi-step automation you're wanting to create!

  • No access to dynamic content that allows you to personalize messaging you send to your members based on which products they've bought from you in your MemberVault account.

  • Limited reporting tools
