How Do My Users Update Their Payment Details?

If your users reach out to you and request to update/change their billing card and they purchased via Stripe, know that it's totally possible for them to do it on their own right from within their user account in a few quick steps.

Important: If your user purchased your product using PayPal, they'll need to update their preferred billing method from inside their PayPal account.

Here's how you can guide them to complete the process of updating their billing card:

Go to their account and click on their name located on the top right corner of your MV site and select 'Billing':

Next, they'll see a page where all their current and past purchase records live for any of the products they have purchased on your MV Site.

This is where they can see the option to update their billing card for any active subscription or payment plan.

All they need to do is click on the link under the Active status where it says 'update card ending in XXX'.

A box will pop up where they can enter the details of their new card:

That's it! πŸ™Œ

Once your user has completed the update, the new card will be charged moving forward - so long as their subscription or payment plan is still noted as active. (If their subscription or payment plan has been canceled due to failed payment attempts or another reason, they will need to repurchase the product to create a new subscription or payment plan.)
