MemberVault provides a basic integration with Circle that allows you to add users to your Circle account from Actions.
This would be useful if you're offering access to a Circle community as part of a product, OR if you want to reward a user with access after they complete / earn something.
Connect to Circle
In your admin, go to Integrations / Other.
Follow the instructions to get your API Token, paste it in the box and click "Save".
Once you save it, you should get a green confirmation message showing you're connected.
Use in Actions
Now that you have Circle connected, you'll see a new option in Actions.
You can now select, "Add User to Circle Space", and you'll get a drop-down of all your spaces in all the communities you own!
β
If you're giving access to multiple spaces, simply add more actions for each space.
When a user is added to a space, Circle will send them an email letting them know they've been added to the space.
If the user doesn't have a Circle account yet, Circle will send them an invitation to join and they'll have access to the space you added them to.
Where can you add Circle to your MV?
You can make use of any embeddable Circle elements, so add Circle comments to your products, or the whole community on a page. Learn more about how to embed Circle elements here.
Will MemberVault be adding a community feature?
Yes! We do have an in-house community feature that allows you and to create both ungated and product-specific communities in your MV account. To learn more, visit this help article.
We are keeping this Circle article active because we do have some account owners who still use Circle, and want to keep this information available to them. That said, we do recommend using our community feature if possible so that you can manage this element all in one handy place in your admin dashboard!
