(Please note: this article was originally published on Feb. 14th, 2022. If you haven't yet read the full details of our announcement from Feb. 14th, 2022, please click here.)

As of April 1st, 2022, our free plan is no longer publicly available.

Part of making sure that we can create the best experience for our users means streamlining options and programs that are resource-intensive, including our free plan.

As an existing free user, we want to give you more time to decide what's right for you, so we'll be giving you an additional 90 days, beyond April 1st, to make full use of your free account.

Here are some common questions we anticipate that you might have about this change as a free user:

Q - What will happen to my free account come April 1st?

If you decide not to upgrade to one of our current paid plans before April 1st, not to worry. As an existing free user, we want to give you more time to decide what's right for you - you'll continue to enjoy and user your free account for an additional 90 days (until June 30th, 2022).

As of July 1st, 2022, if you remain on the free plan, your account will switch to an admin read-only plan for one year.

Q - What is the 'admin read-only' plan? And what happens to my account after my access to 'admin read-only' ends?

The 'admin read-only' plan will allow you to continue to access the data & content within your account.

Your products will no longer be displayed on your MV Site and your users will no longer be able to access any of your products.

While you will not be able to make any changes or additions to your products or user list, you will be able to access all data & content for review or exporting.

Your access to our 'admin read-only' plan will remain in place for one year (until June 30th, 2023). At that time, your account and all associated data & content will be permanently removed from the platform.

Q - What if I decide to upgrade to one of your current plans before April 1st and then I outgrow my plan after the pricing changes?

We appreciate your support and as a thank you for being with us through this transition and should you upgrade your account to a paid plan before April 1st and need to upgrade further to our unlimited plan in the future, you'll receive a 30% ongoing discount for either the monthly or annual subscription.

Simply reach out to customer support through chat support or via email at hello@membervault.co. (For the fastest turnaround, be sure to let us know whether you'd like to upgrade to a monthly or annual subscription for the unlimited plan.)

Q - I have multiple accounts, is there a discount available to me if I upgrade more than one account?

Yes - we definitely want to show our gratitude for those who decide to upgrade more than one account. If you already have a paid account, you are entitled to a 50% discount when you choose to upgrade an additional account.

Simply reach out to customer support through chat support or via email at hello@membervault.co to request your custom coupon code. (For the fastest turnaround, be sure to let us know what plan you wish to upgrade to and whether you want to go with the monthly or annual option.)

Q - Can I still upgrade my account after April 1st?

Yes, absolutely! However, if you decide to wait until after April 1st to upgrade - the only paid plan offered will be our unlimited everything plan at $99/month or $990/year.

If you're on the fence about upgrading now, we encourage you to sign up for one month of MV at $19 before April 1st, so you can see MV in action and understand how it could work for you.

You'll lock in that price as long as your subscription remains current. Please note our lifetime plan will also no longer be publicly available after March, learn more about that offer here.

Q - I'm confused - there isn't any mention of these details in MemberVault's current Terms & Conditions?

Yes, that's correct - because these new terms do not take effect until April 1st, 2022. You can anticipate us sharing new Terms & Conditions for the platform with all users in early April.

Q - I would prefer to permanently close my free account now, how can I do that?

While we're sorry to hear you don't wish to continue with MemberVault, we will gladly honor your wishes to permanently close your account now versus waiting until your admin-read only access concludes.

Simply contact us hello@membervault.co with your request and confirmation that you have saved any and all relevant data/content that you may wish to reference in future from your account.

Permanently closing your account means it will be deleted from the platform along with all associated data/content and once done, that action cannot be reversed.
