Welcome to Meshage 2.0.1

Sending a message—or a Meshage, as we call it—is the easiest way to stay in sync with your team. With the latest 2.0.1 update, the platform is more capable than ever, keeping your communication seamless whether you’re at a desk or on the move.

Stay Connected Anywhere

Meshaging is fully cross-platform. You can send, receive, and track conversations across:

  • The Web App: Perfect for longer updates while managing the schedule.

  • Mobile Apps: Native support for both iOS and Android so you never miss a beat during your shift.

Important: The "Sent is Sent" Rule

Before you hit send, it’s important to keep one thing in mind:

Warning: Once a Meshage is sent or posted, it cannot be deleted or edited.

This permanence exists to ensure a reliable "source of truth" for team communication. Because scheduling and clinical coordination often rely on these messages, maintaining an unchangeable record helps prevent confusion and ensures accountability across the entire team.

Sending a Meshage on the Web

Starting a conversation on the web platform only takes a couple of clicks:

  1. Open Meshaging: Click the envelope icon located in the top header bar of the page.

  2. View Recent Chats: This opens a quick view where you can see your most recent conversations.

  3. Start Something New: Click the 'New' button to begin a fresh message.

This will take you to the main Conversations interface, where a New Meshage window will appear automatically so you can start typing right away.

Creating a New Meshage

  • Add a Subject: Enter a clear subject line so your team knows the topic at a glance.

  • Select Your Audience: Choose who needs to see this message.

  • Advanced Targeting: You can now use the advanced interface to combine audience selectors. This allows you to message specific groups—like "All Residents" + "On-Call Staff"—to ensure the right people get the update without cluttering everyone else's inbox.

After you have used the audience selectors to pick a group, you can still fine-tune exactly who receives your message. This is helpful if you need to message a specific team but want to exclude or add certain individuals manually.

  • Review Your List: Once the audience is populated, a list of individual names will appear.

  • Remove Recipients: If there is someone who doesn't need the update, simply click the cross (X) next to their name to remove them from the conversation.

  • Finalize: You can add or subtract names until the list perfectly matches the people you need to reach.

Once your recipients are set, just type your message into the main body field. When you're ready, hit Send. Your team will get an immediate notification across their web and mobile devices, so they’re always in the loop.

Smarter Ways to Reach Your Team

You can now message people based on their department or even their shift history. This makes it much faster to get the right information to the right people without selecting names one by one.

New Audience Options:

  • Whole Teams: Contact everyone in a specific department or multiple teams at once.

  • Real-Time Groups: Send a message to "everyone currently on shift" across selected areas.

  • Past Schedules: Reach everyone who worked during a specific window, such as the last two days.

Why This Helps: These tools are built for speed and precision. They are especially useful for emergency call-ins or quickly notifying specific staff members who may have been exposed to a health risk during their recent shifts.

Sending a Meshage on Mobile

  1. Open Meshaging: Tap the envelope icon in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Start a New Message: Tap the plus (+) button to begin.

  3. Audience Note: While you can easily message your colleagues on the go, the complex audience selectors (such as filtering by past shifts or specific groups) are only available on the web platform.
