When pulling in content from a variety of social media networks via your chosen hashtags, you may find that not all of the content is necessarily relevant.

This could become a bit of a distraction while you’re moderating and begin to take up quite a bit of space. To help, Miappi has introduced our ‘Exclude’ feature to let you remove irrelevant content from your Curate page.

Side Note: It will be moved to another section of the dashboard that you will be able to view later if you need to.

To manually remove individual pieces of content from your view in the Curate page, start by hovering over a content post and selecting the Bin icon in the top right-hand corner. The piece of content will then move from the Curate page to the ‘Excluded Content’ view.

Toggle the 'Excluded Content' button at the top of the Curate page to go between views.

Moderation Rules and Excluded Content

If you would like to automatically exclude content using a particular keyword and/or hashtag, you can create a new moderation rule.

Move to the Moderate tab on the left-hand menu and select ‘Create Rule’.

Once you’ve given your rule a name, created a condition and input your keywords and hashtags, select the ‘Exclude’ option when given the choice of where to put content caught by the rule .

Side Note: When creating a rule, this will only affect content that comes through from that moment. If you’d like it to affect all previously collected content, please order your rule to ‘Recheck’.
