The article lists the minimum hardware requirements to install and run SQL Server 2022 (16.x) on the Windows operating system. This article lists system requirements for SQL Server 2022. However, earlier versions of SQL Server will also run with this configuration.

Storage
SQL Server requires a minimum of 6 GB of available disk space.
While SQL Server only requires a minimum of 6 GB, you will need additional space for your database storage. When storing Microvellum data, we recommend 250+ GB of available disk space.
Monitor
Super-VGA (800x600) or higher resolution display.
While SQL Server will run on displays 800x600 or higher resolution. MV recommends using a display with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080.
Memory
At least 4GB Minimum. Should be increased with database size to ensure optimal performance.
Processor
x64 Processor 2 GHz or faster.
Installation of SQL Server is supported on x64 processors only. It is not supported on x86 processors.
