Recording new loans in a Community Savings and Lending Group is quick and easy!

After you've captured the group's savings contributions you move to the 'Record Loan Requests' section. If the group votes on loans, they will tabulate votes offline, before going through the process to add the loans.

Follow the screenshots below to learn how to record a loan or check out the video here:

First click on '+Add', in the top right-hand side.

You will see your group's cash on hand.

You won't be able to loan more than the group balance, so it might not be possible for each member to take a loan.

From the list of members, select whoever is requesting a loan.

You will be taken to the 'Loan Request' page:

You will see the amount the member can borrow, based on the rules of the group and the due date will be automatically calculated.

Enter the amount of the loan and the fee will be automatically calculated.

Lastly you'll enter a reason for the loan and click 'Submit'.

Loans will be listed, with updated group cash on hand. To remove a loan, swipe it right or left off the screen.

To enter another loan, click '+add' and repeat the process.

When finished, click 'Next'.

The next step to recording a meeting is Recording loan payments, more information can be found here:
