What Is the CME Market Data Agreement?

Understand the CME data agreement, why it exists, and how MILTRADERS handles it for you.

The CME Group requires every individual trading futures with real-time market data to have a Market Data Agreement on file. This agreement classifies traders as either Non-Professional or Professional based on regulatory criteria such as employment status and registration.

At MILTRADERS, the CME market data feed is provided through dxFeed and is fully included with every account at no additional cost. There are no separate data subscription fees to pay.

When you sign up with MILTRADERS, you will be asked to confirm your data status (Non-Professional or Professional) as part of your onboarding. Most retail traders qualify as Non-Professional. If your status changes (for example, you become registered with a financial authority), you must update it through your MILTRADERS dashboard.

Is market depth (Level 2) available?

Your MILTRADERS account includes real-time Level 1 data (prices, volumes, Time & Sales) on all markets, with no subscription and no fees — it is part of your account price.

On Volumetrica Web: no Level 2. Full depth of book is not available there, and we do not offer it as an add-on. Exchanges charge Level 2 through individual paid data subscriptions, which would require us to collect and remit those fees for every trader — we chose to keep the model simple: one-time payment, data included, zero subscriptions.

On ATAS and Quantower: depth display depends on the platform itself and its configuration. These features are handled by the platform vendor — check directly with ATAS or Quantower; MILTRADERS does not manage or guarantee these options.

You remain free to use an external analysis tool with your own data subscription for your charts — only execution goes through the supported platforms.

If you are unsure about your data classification, please contact our support team through the chat bubble on our website and we will guide you.
