✨ Preparing for Your Initial Appointment

Understanding what to expect during your first MindDemand session, including assessment and treatment planning.

Updated over a month ago

At MindDemand, we understand that taking the first step towards seeking mental health care can be daunting. That's why we want to assure you that your first appointment with us is focused on getting to know you and making you feel comfortable.

πŸ’ What to Expect

During your first appointment, your provider will take the time to understand your symptoms, personal history, and goals for care.

This session is thorough, but conversationalβ€”there’s no pressure to have all the answers. It's an opportunity for your provider to assess your needs and begin building a personalized treatment plan, which may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» Steps to Take

To ensure a smooth experience, once you've scheduled your first appointment, you will receive an email with instructions. As per them, you will need to:

  • Complete your new patient onboarding.

  • Make your payment 24 hours before your appointment to confirm your slot.

πŸ“ƒ What to Bring

To make the most out of your first appointment, we recommend bringing:

  • Any relevant medical records,

  • Previous mental health treatment information,

  • List of current medications you may be taking.

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ What to Ask

We understand that you may have questions or concerns about your mental health and the treatment process. That's why we encourage you to ask questions at any point during your appointment.

Our goal is to make sure you feel supported, heard, and clear about the next steps in your care.
