The CSV import feature in MindForge is a powerful tool that allows you to efficiently manage your Employee listing by adding new employees, removing former employees, and updating existing employee profiles. Follow these steps to utilize this feature effectively.
Permissions: CSV Import is accessible to ONLY ORG Admins.
Access the CSV Integration Feature
Click on Dashboard.
Click on Employee Integrations.
Enable the CSV Integration option.
Prepare Your CSV File
Before importing your employee list, ensure your CSV file is in the correct format. MindForge requires a specific format to process the data correctly. To simplify this process:
Download the template provided in the Employee Integrations section.
Populate the template with your employee data.
Import the CSV File
Once your CSV file is prepared, verify that it adheres to the required format.
You can either drag and drop the CSV file into the designated area or choose a file from your computer.
MindForge will first validate the file to ensure it is a CSV format.
Click Run Integration
Choose the type of Integration
Full Overwrite: Add, update, and remove employees based on the CSV being uploaded. This is ideal for maintaining your employee list and removing accounts that are no longer employees of your organization.
Add/Update Only: No employees will be removed from this CSV import. This is ideal for uploading a list of new employees to MindForge.
Review the Integration Preview
After the CSV file is validated, you will see a preview of the changes that will occur once you run the integration. This step is crucial for ensuring accuracy.
Check for Errors: The first tab in the preview displays any errors found in the CSV file. You must correct these errors on the CSV before attempting the upload again.
Review Employees to be Added: This tab lists all employees in the CSV who will be added to MindForge. Depending on the data included, these employees will receive an invite via email or text to sign in to MindForge.
Verify Employees to be Removed: The Employees to be Removed tab shows any employees currently in MindForge who are not listed in the CSV file, indicating they may no longer work for your company.
Confirm Employees to be Updated: This tab shows employees whose profiles will be updated based on differences between the CSV data and their current MindForge profile.
Check Employees Unchanged: This tab lists employees whose profiles will remain unchanged after the integration.
Run the Integration
If everything in the preview looks correct, Click Yes and run Integration Now to apply the changes.
View Results of the Integration
After submitting the CSV integration, you can review the results at any time:
Go to the Employee Integrations section.
Click on View Results to open a window similar to the preview, which will display the impact of the most recent CSV import.
By following these steps, you can easily manage your employee data within MindForge, ensuring that your records are accurate and current.
