Workflow Overview

The hall pass process begins with communication and ends with a digital record. You can manage student movement effectively by following these four simple steps:

  1. Student asks permission: You must first ask the teacher for verbal permission to leave the room.

  2. Approval: The teacher provides a verbal "Yes" or "No" to the request.

  3. Pass creation: You create the pass on a mobile device or a school-approved device like a Chromebook or Kiosk.

  4. Using the pass: You leave the class; if staff ask for your pass, they can view the live timer on your screen or look it up on their own device.

If you cannot see your navigation tools, click the Sidebar icon to expand the menu. If you do not see an option to create a Hall Pass, the feature may need to be enabled by an admin at your school.

Teacher not found:

If you cannot find your teacher in the search list, ensure you are spelling their name correctly as it appears in the school directory. The Approved by field looks like a drop-down menu but only contains the most frequently searched or used names, try typing the teacher's name.
