Marking which class roster should be seen as a homeroom in Minga is essential in making sure unregistered students end up in the correct place. Easily designate which User Lists should be read as homerooms by following these easy steps:

Step-by-Step Guide to Marking a User List as a Homeroom

  1. Navigate to the People tab from the main menu.

  2. Click on the User List tab.

  3. Locate the User List(s) you would like to mark as Homerooms, and click on the blue edit pencil.

  4. Toggle ON the setting Use as homeroom.

  5. Click Save.


Access the Unregistered Report

Automatically registering students ensures that no one is left without a designated place to be during Flex periods. This helps maintain safety and accountability across the campus.

Step-by-step Guide to Auto-Registering Students

  1. Click the FlexTime icon in the sidebar menu.

  2. Select Unregistered Report from the dashboard tabs.

  3. Choose the specific Flex Period from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen.

  4. Check the Select All box next to First Name to highlight all students, or click individual checkboxes to select specific students.

  5. Click the Register to homeroom teacher button at the bottom of the list.

Important: Auto-assigning students to a homeroom will allow that activity to exceed its available seat limit and will override any existing Activity Restrictions.
