Every course starts as a draft, so you decide when your work becomes visible. Nothing reaches your learners until you publish.

A draft course is yours alone. Nobody else can reach it:

• Its share link does not work yet.

• It does not appear in the collection your learners see.

• Its content is not served anywhere, so an unpublished course gives nothing away.

You will see a grey Draft badge on the course card in your collection, and next to the title in the editor.

There are two ways to put a course live.

Open the three dots menu on the course card and click Publish. This is the quickest route, and it means you never have to open the editor just to put a course live.

Click Share in the top bar. If the course is still a draft, you will be asked to publish it first, because a draft has no shareable link yet.

Confirm with Publish and share, and the share panel opens right after, with your link ready.

Once a course is live, each page carries its own state, so you can keep working without your learners seeing half finished pages.

• A grey Draft chip means the page is new and nobody can see it yet.

• An amber Edited chip means the page is live, but you have changed it since, and learners are still seeing the older version.

A page is never both. Grey means nobody sees it, amber means what people see is out of date.

At the top of the contents panel, a short summary lists every page that is not live yet, for example "2 draft · 1 edited".

Click any row to jump straight to that page, or click the summary itself to collapse the list and give your outline more room.

When a live course has pending work, a Publish changes button appears in the top bar. Click it and you will see two groups:

• New pages, the ones nobody has seen yet.

• Edited pages, the live ones you have changed.

Everything is ticked by default, since shipping all of it is the usual case. Untick anything you are not ready to release, then click Publish.

This is how you ship edits to your live pages while leaving an unfinished new page as a draft.

The three dots menu on any page in the contents panel gives you the same actions one page at a time:

• Publish page for a new page.

• Publish changes to release your edits to a live page.

• Discard changes to throw your edits away and go back to what learners currently see.

• Move to draft to take a live page back out of sight.

Publishing covers your page content: titles, page text, and quiz answer options. Everything else takes effect immediately, with no publishing step:

• Theme and design

• Course settings

• Page order and sections

Preview always shows you what learners get. For a course that has never been published, that is everything you have written so far. Once a course is live, Preview shows the published version, so pages marked Draft or Edited will not appear there until you publish them.

To unpublish, open the three dots menu on the course card, or the Share panel in the editor, and choose Move to draft.

You can also move to draft by clicking Share button on top left when you're inside of a course.

You will be asked to confirm, because the effect is immediate.
