This help guide will explain how to update warehouse locations in bulk on Mintsoft.
Updating locations in bulk
To update Warehouse Locations in bulk on Mintsoft, please do the following:
This process is especially useful for optimizing warehouse efficiency as it allows for the quick adjustment of settings without modifying each location manually.
If an error occurs during the update, such as duplicated or incorrect entries, remove these from your system first. Once clean, re-upload the correct or updated location data. This ensures your warehouse's inventory system remains accurate and reliable.
Click Warehouse then Manage Warehouses.
Search for the Warehouse.
Click Locations against the Warehouse.
Next, click Bulk CSV Export in the top right corner.
Open the downloaded CSV.
Make any changes needed to the locations except for the INTERNAL_LOCATION_ID column.
This must remain the same or else new locations will be created when you upload the CSV.
Click Save once done.
Back on Mintsoft click Warehouses then Extras.
Next, click Upload Locations.
Click Choose File and browse for the CSV.
Finally, click Upload.
The Upload Warehouse Location spreadsheet is a background process. The user who created the upload will be notified by email, containing a download link to get results, once the upload has completed.
Note: These links expire after 30 days.
Additionally, there is no need to delete all locations before re-uploading. Updates can be applied directly by ensuring required fields like INTERNAL_LOCATION_ID remain unchanged.
If inaccurate data is uploaded, remove any incorrect entries before re-uploading the updated file. Adhering to this step prevents duplicate or erroneous data entries.
